FFVII REMAKE COMING TO PS4 ON MARCH 3 2020

It was not in XIII because Masashi Hamauzu seems to hate leitmotifs, lol.

In that EasyAllies video Ben mentions hearing the fanfare. But he said during two of Cloud's freakouts, which...doesn't make a ton of sense. I wonder if he was mishearing Who Are You or something?
Yeah that did seem really weird to me too. Re: where or even if we may hear the fanfare, I'm struggling to think where it might fit in as it obviously didn't appear after Scorpion Sentinel - maybe at story milestones? End of "chapters?"Meh, I dunno. Seems like it should be in there somewhere though.

- “While the development team finish the first game in the project, we are continuing to plan and outline the overall volume of content for the second.”
- “Due to the work already done on the first game we anticipate development of the second game to be more efficient. We have our own internal schedule and plan, but for now we’d like to focus our information on the first game in the project.”

Sounds a lot more promising than:

- Q: How many episodes will this be?
- A: "We're not sure yet."

It seems the PR team moved him away from his previously vague and concerning comments. With the added context here it's much more like others were speculating and more confidence-inspiring.

But the first answer doesn't mean that the second is wrong either. Even if they're planning content for the second installment, they are not sure just how many they can push (content-wise, just how much will they add? They have no clue either). So while they've started mapping the second installment, they don't know yet if it'll be 3 or 4 parts. IMHO that's what it means.

True I'm not disputing that. Just saying that IMO there's more reason and rhyme to what they're doing than they're willing to let on for now, as they just want everyone to concentrate on Numero Uno. Which was what I was saying yesterday, before Kitase's more PR-friendly iteration today ;)

What's weird about Stamp is he isn't dressed in a way that would signal the military to Midgar kids. He's wearing an American WWII helmet (I suppose because that signals the military to us).

I bet Marlene loves watching the adventures of Stamp!

The real evil is Shinra's PR department.

On the subject of the Fanfare being missing, FFX was the last FF to have the fanfare cap off every fight. In XII and XIV, it's at the end of boss fights (XIV also gives it when you level up). Not sure about XIII, I don't remember hearing it at all.
On Max's impressions stream, chat brought up the very relevant fact that, in the original FFVII, the victory fanfare never actually plays during the Bombing Mission.

It does though, the Bombing Mission music only plays until your inside the reactor. At that point, you get the regular battle theme+victory fanfare until you fight the Guard Scorpion.

Oh, and the booth attendants are dressed as Turks. Can't be sure that their costumes are based on the Remake designs, but they're definitely different from the Compilation versions.

Zippers are a bit more prominent on the jacket, pocket squares are gone, and they have Shinra lapel pins and earpieces.

According to Max, the victory fanfare Ben mentioned hearing in the Easy Allies vids was most likely from the looping trailer reels they had blaring on the TVs all over the booth.

He mentioned that the dev playthrough of the Bombing Mission started with a "Chapter 1: The Mako Reactor" screen, and he speculated that chapters might end with results screens, which could be where they put the fanfare.

Interesting to note that Cloud levels up when he defeats the Scorpion Sentinel, and yet his stats do not change.
I mean, it's a demo build. Gameplay balance, stats, etc. are usually adjusted for demonstration purposes.
