Well, there was Type-0 which got an M. I don't think any mainline release ever will though.FF as a franchise has always been T-rated or lower, don't see that changing anytime soon.
Which is one game in a franchise with dozens of entries, dont look at the outlier, look at the whole picture.Well, there was Type-0 which got an M. I don't think any mainline release ever will though.
I've noticed online that when people personally don't like a game, they say "it's gonna flop" and then it goes on to be super successful. Just look at TLOU2.And some on other forums were swearing up and down the game was a flop lmao
Though just to clarify, doesn’t the SquareEnix tweet also just say shipped for the non-digital part of the 5 million? Is there a way to find out how much the non-digital shipped units actually sold?No... FFXV didn't sell 5 million copies on the first day.
It had shipped 5 million copies to retailers globally on release.
Shipped units to retailers, and actual sales of units are not the same thing. Those shipments on the first day are to retailers, and all that figure indicated, was the hype and enthusiasm to sell the product. Retailers were confident in moving the product. Since 2016, FFXV has sold just shy of 9 million copies across all platforms.
FFVII-R has sold 5 million copies since it's release in April. And it's a single platform title.
Yes, that's very impressive. And they haven't even released the PC port and inevitable X-Box port.
That was a really illuminating video, thanks for sharing!Final Fantasy Union has released a video on their FF7R survey from a while ago. Over 14,000 respondents!
