FFVII REMAKE CONFIRMED

Keeping my expectations realistic and hoping it's a PS5 upgrade or PC/Xbox port (either of which I don't care about at all). Just so we get that out of the way, and move forward to bigger expectations in the near future, like the announcement of EC/TFS/VIIR-2.

Here's my combined speculation from previous posts: The new story content won't be the cut chapter we saw in the FFVIIR Material Ultimania (if SE planned to develop it they wouldn't of revealed it), but will feature elements from that chapter such as a resolution scene between Tifa and Jessie (hence the voice actor tweets we saw a few months ago). I suspect additional cutscenes focusing on other characters will be implemented as well. This version of the game will release on PS5/PC and hopefully be announced at the FFVIIR Orchestra World Tour. It may seem like an odd place for an announcement, but keep in mind the release date for FFVIIR was first revealed at the Symphonic Reunion concert in 2019, so there is some precedent. The game will be titled "Final Fantasy VII Remake: Ever Crisis", validating it as the fifth major title in the Compilation.

If they add a DLC or an extended PS5 version, I do believe it's going to be that Tifa chapter. Why? Because they were nearly done with it, so it's not a lot of work to finish. Because it's the pendant of Aerith's chapter 12 chapter, and as such, Tifa as a character is clearly missing it. And finally, fans are asking for it. So it's an easy way to please fans and finish something they were forced to cut because of time restraints without putting too much work into it since it was nearly finished.

Yeah unless it’s an expo I wouldn’t get my hopes up about an announcement for part 2 although as far as a PC/Xbox release, they could just announce it whenever right? I don’t know if it would warrant a huge reveal at an event or something

Probably random to bring this up but I've been thinking about this whole "CC2 was the main developer/Square Enix rebooted VIIR in 2017" double misconception lately because people often still mention it. Maybe sometime I should do another "Mythtaken" article and clear it up or something because misinformation bugs me (and it also bugs me that I too believed for a while there that CC2 was the main developer for a while which if you closely examine it doesn't even begin to make sense anymore).

But then again I'm often dealing with major lack of energy to do any projects anymore gahhh
