I think the Compilation designs you listed look great too, but the designs for them in those games simply wouldn't work in FFVII.
Advent Children is post-crisis where everyone's further grown and independent. And honestly, isn't the remake's aesthetic an off-shoot of AC's style anyways? It's just further evolved, refined and in-game instead of just confined to a CGI movie.
Dirge of Cerberus takes place 3 years after Meteorfall, and Vincent's design there wouldn't match FFVII at all. It's fucking awesome but...Vincent in FFVII is fresh out his coffin. The cloak isn't even tattered yet. He would not look that stylish after sleeping over 30 years in a fucking coffin.![Smol Monster :mon: :mon:](/forums/images/smilies/smolmonster.gif)
Cloud in Dissidia NT is a totally different style that'd completely clash with FFVII's aesthetic. Dissidia's style is uber-fantastical and for lack of a better word, beautiful. Like, it would be a too much, even for me. That series is heavily inspired by Amano's style and character designs for all FF characters. So basically you'd be throwing Cloud's Amano look into Nomura and Nojima's contemporary techno-fantasy aesthetic style. It wouldn't match. Hell, Cloud's look in Dissidia is just his classic FFVII outfit unless you're talking about his 012 appearance which is Amano 100%.
