Isn't this like the 3rd time BC has been sort of mentioned already? I dont know the ins and outs, but from what we've seen in FFVIIR, it doesnt look that bad. Hell, it's certainly interesting. Guess BC really had some execution problems. The less influence before crisis has, the better. Still, what would cause sector 6 to have to be rebuilt?
Really my problems with it are pretty well summed up with the idea that Avalanche tried to take over Junon to shoot Midgar with the cannon, even though there is no way that cannon could come even close to hitting Midgar. Midgar is almost behind it!
(inb4 someone explains how the cannon slingshots a projectile around the globe to hit Midgar or some shit like that )
I mean, it did hit the Northern crater. And it's MASSIVE. Who can say?(inb4 someone explains how the cannon slingshots a projectile around the globe to hit Midgar or some shit like that )
...It's the same cannon. No, the one on Midgar hit the Northern Crater. And that one is quite a bit bigger than Junon's.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was simply a way for the cannon to rise and then rotate so that it can precisely aim at different targets behind it.
If you were to aim juuuust a little to the right, and up at a sloping angle, you could get it to do a lap around the globe and hit Midgar. Although I doubt that AVALANCHE would have access to the army of smart people needed to make that happen. You would have to aim literally up into space, the way ICBMs work, which go up and basically just fall back down on their target. That would also be an extremely freakin inefficient way to damage a city that's basically right next to you.
The whole damn thing doesn't make any sense. What the hell was it pointed at to begin with?
