I don't care about this "Project Reunion" thing. I miss the old cast but I don't waste time with petitions, they never get anywhere and the game looks good. If they make the DLC, cool, if they don't, cool. At the end of the day we still get an awesome game.

That has nothing to do with them. Steve, Beau and I think a few others have wished the new actors well.
Source please?

I've only heard of Steve giving his blessings to Cody, but Beau? Can't say I've seen any tweets or videos of him saying he wishes Bentley well.
Also, George Newbern hasn't said anything towards Hoechlin. I think I've seen him saying something about the recast in a few con panel videos on YouTube though.

Billingslea and Bentley know each other, apparently, so I assure you it's cool. To survive in the biz, ya gotta have your eyes forward, and lift each other up. Celebrate your past work, but don't pout over a lost job. It's never personal, it's just business. :)

Die hard fanatics that don't have a realistic understanding of the nature of business and common sense can't really be reasoned with.

It's not gonna stop until the game comes out and the "Project Reunion" patch is missing. :monster:
Too bad SE couldn't still use them for other voices in the game. Especially ones who did it for over a decade

I imagine she's still not going to like it. But I think this

Okay I finally bothered to look at the article. Two things:

1. It's really obvious in hindsight now that the reason they finally released "the kids are alright" in English is because of how heavily it's referenced in the remake.

2. The put in a functional Jukebox! I did that in my ff7 mod! Clearly I am a prophet.

This piqued my curiosity, is it just a typo, or was there an older Sector 6 plate that broke down a while ago. Or is maybe trying to describe the Sector 6 plate as the most in need of repair/maintenance?
Well, the Sector 6 plate is wrecked in the battle with Zirconiade in Before Crisis, but there were never really any explanations for why it's fucked up or incomplete in the original.

I guess that might explain the collapsed highway section and the general layout similarities between the slums and the Sector 6 plate in the new opening cinematic.

There's something extra perverse about the idea of them just leaving the old sector 6 plate ruins as a ghetto while rebuilding an exact, pristine copy for the wealthy right on top of it.

There was a discussion about this a couple of weeks ago. I'm in agreement with the conclusion that BC offers no indication Zirconiade's summoning or destruction caused damage to Sector 6.

When it explodes, it even seems to have moved away from Midgar, out past Sector 5:

Yeah, I've seen the 'Zirconiade destroyed Sector 6' brought up a few times on different sites (I think it says so on the FF Wiki somewhere as well) and I was like 'but did it though' and did some research and it turns out there is zero conclusive evidence of that.
In fact, I had come across a ten-year old thread here on TLS where this very thing was also discussed and people came to the conclusion those two things were unrelated: https://thelifestream.net/forums/threads/questions-about-zirconaide-jade-weapon.3980/

...I like doing research :wacky:

I'm fairly certain that's unrelated as Square Enix doesn't publish these books internationally. The publishers reach out to them for licensing independently rather than Square Enix setting anything in motion.

The less influence before crisis has, the better. Still, what would cause sector 6 to have to be rebuilt?
