Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary.

I'll post here when I get it, it hasn't been released yet. It just says "10/2017" so I'm hoping that means a week from now and not randomly at the end of October. From the link it says "will be dispatched when promotion ends" and "promotion ends 30/09/2017" so fingers crossed that means early next week.

It was £130 which was apparently a discounted price (reduced from just under £200) - the Cloud PAK on its own is £115 and I was planning on getting it anyway (it's the only one I've ever really wanted to own) so it was a no brainer. I think it said something about having 5 items in the box as well as the PAK and some random trading card so it seems like it's worth it, but there's no way to know until it actually arrives.

I'll be sure to post about the box and its contents with pics. Only 500 have been made in Europe and it's Cloud in his original purple so I can't complain. Looking forward to seeing what's in it, regardless of the potential disappointment XD.

I've contacted SE for a shipping update, nothing on my order page yet has changed. What an age we live in when you can make a Cloud figurine a bit purple and have people paying for a box of stuff not knowing the contents or even when it'll arrive :monster:

Dunno if this counts as 30th anniversary shite or not, feel free to move/delete.

So, I don't know how many of you have seen this ridiculous thing. A numbered, leather moogle.

Only 777 numbered units in Europe going at €111.11.
Only 777 numbered units in North America going at $119.99.

This is kind of ridiculous. I mean, a leather moogle?

Not sure if this should be a new topic or not... but:

Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Exhibition to include never before seen Final Fantasy VII Remake image boards

Square Enix will hold a Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Exhibition, dubbed the “Farewell Stories Exhibition,” at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo from January 22 to February 28, which will feature a special Final Fantasy VII exhibition that includes never before seen image boards of Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Final Fantasy VII Special Exhibition: “The Words Aerith Left Behind”

Aerith met a tragic death in the story of the original game. In this exhibition, the “Sector 5 Church” where Aerith and the protagonist Cloud first met will be recreated. Freely walk around the inside of the church while listening to a monologue of Aerith’s memories specially recorded for this exhibition. Additionally, never before seen image boards for the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake and more will also be on display.

Scenario by Kazushige Nojima, voice-over by Maaya Sakamoto
The Farewell Stories Exhibition will also feature various other exhibitions that recreate a number of the “farewell stories” depicted in the Final Fantasy series. Square Enix also developed an augmented reality audio system for the exhibition, which links your smartphone with the 150 beacons installed at the venue for the items on display. Doing this will enable you to hear synchronized game background music, character voices, and personalized navigation from the headphones installed at each exhibit by simply standing in front of the beacon.

That's really cool, actually. Almost wonder if it deserves a front page mention.

But wow, look at all the people in the comments who didn't know that Aerith dies. :closedmonster:

That looks absolutely gorgeous and I'm practically dying at the idea. It sucks it's such a short lived exhibit. I hope tons of video and pictures are taken to try and bring it to life for those of us outside. Fangirling so hard over this right now.
