That's because Hyoh and Trance Terra are the top tier units in the game period at the moment and for the raid why bother using VP units if you have either of those.
Pulls are awful at the moment I used a few tickets for the Type-0 Mk event for bonus units was lucky to pull Machina and Rinoa as an off banner unit (happy with that one had wanted her for a good while) and I got my 6th Fohlen from the 35m download . I've set Machina as my leader for people needing a 100% bonus unit but the last month Gumi and SE have been very greedy when it comes to banners and the playerbase.
I've honestly mostly skipped VP, the banner was ruined the minute they changed it from the JP version of the banner.
Game is getting massive amount of flack right now and rightly so the announcement of anyone going to fan festa getting 10 UOC tickets is to be quite frank very unfair. I'd really love to go to Fan Festa I wanted to before they announced the extras if they sold digital tickets I'd absolute buy one as there's no way I'd ever be able to afford to go with them only doing one and it being in LA (plus they only released 1000 tickets). The Aurora Fryevia give away didn't bother me as she's eventually going to be available to everyone but giving out 10 uoc tickets which ate so hard to come by in-game when not everyone has the means to attend the event is incredibly unfair.

New 7* awakenings not gonna lie I've been waiting for the majority of these Balthier and Fohlen are ready for STMR and Loren, Fryevia, Gladios, Elfreeda all ready for 7* my Gil is going down the drain but I've been waiting quite a while for this banner. Loren is the best breaker for Now so my CG Lid will be retiring for a while and depending on Fyyevia's 7* move set I may end up pulling Hyoh off my main team.

There's definitely a few underlying bugs there but the story itself is good to play for, bar some translation errors it's a good FF story very reminiscent of the old FF era stories.
So free 10+1 pull for fan fests units led to nothing. I'm fine with them being free 10+1s but don't advertise them as a fan festa 10+1 pull if you aren't guaranteed one of the units.
Anyone else have issues with these?
Also Loren is a breaker beast! I have officially for now retired my CG Lid although she had a great run, it's also great that she's some really good attack moves and chaining abilities in there so you can rotate between her breaks and attacking. Lid was a fab breaker but sometimes I'd be stuck to try and find other things for her to do, Loren is awesome.

Well, things escalated quickly.
Is there a limit to how many times you can enhance a unit's stats? I don't mean stat caps, I just don't want to squander resources. Cannot be arsed to trawl through the subreddit for an answer.
Just need another Lightning and more trust moogles.
inb4 Lightning is bad. I like her so leave me alone.
Also, Reberta is a beast. So is Ellesperis to be fair, pretty good stats and her ability to heal the team and deal damage at the same time is handy. She might fall off later but she's better than everyone on the bench.
I have Balthier, he looks like a solid damage dealer but I'm comfortable with this party for now. Maybe he could replace Ashe...
All in all this is a fun game! Some of the extreme bosses require some strategy so yeah, finally something else to sink hours into.

Yeah I'm focusing on Campaign and Vortex for now. That Lightning is the free one, couldn't be bothered rerolling any more and I got Ellesperis and some other 5 star unit (who turned out to be crap) so I was like "meh let's roll with it"
and yeah I saw the caps, just making sure there isn't a limit on how many things you feed to your units. I don't want to throw a bunch of stuff at my good units only to find out I've ruined them because I didn't use premium berries or refine the Pokeblocks enough for them, if you catch my drift.

Yes he is crap Reberta was absolutely the better choice, he is apparently much better at 7* though.
It's been announced Fan Festa is being streamed, super happy about this I was really disappointed they were only doing one place this year glad I can actually view the stream.

I should look into Balthier and see if he will significantly trump any of the party members. His bases seem good. What do you think of him?

Hey now you're doing well on the 5* front Beryl's better than Ellesperis from what I hear. Keep Ashe and Rikku on your team as support and Ashe has chaining moves that have healing/support properties.
I'd go with Roberta, Balthier and Beryl as your damage dealers and breakers and as far as I know Beryl can double up as a magic tank.

My Hyoh unit is fully status protected and really high attack if you need help getting through some more difficult bits.

You should hopefully be able to take him down soon but keep going!
Gil is just as good though, once you start getting dupes of 5*s and getting 7*s it's 3mil Gil to awaken a unit to 7* and a shit ton of cactuars needed then for the exp.
Also I am so so excited! Kingdom Hearts collab has just been announced on the JP side of things but I imagine we won't have to wait long on GL because of the release dates. I just hope they don't nerf our characters because JP is about 8 months ahead in terms of content.
