Also, I have to say I am really digging the updates. The EXP dungeon on Sunday was epic! It gave out shit loads more EXP than it had before. Thanks to this, every single character on my roster is at Level 25 or higher. I also like the adjustments to the Daily Dungeons in general. I like it that they have given dedicated days to specific types of Orbs, etc. The game on the whole just seems to be a lot smoother than it had been before.

Oh no, now you'll all see that I have crap gear :P I've only ever done a handful of Rare Relic draws even though I currently have 125 mythril saved up. Correction now I have 75 mythril and a snazzy Emerald Shield. Probably wont be doing that again any time soon.

Just curious as to why would you bank up your mythril instead of spending it on better equipment? :monster:

Because I'm a hoarder of anything shiny :monster:

I long ago came to the conclusion that I have terrible luck whenever there is a random draw mechanic in a game. I don't collect the free relic so I don't go onto the relic screen at all. Then I sort of forget that I've got mythril until I need to heal the party. So no reason other than laziness really lol

I'm not generally a hoarder, but this is pretty much the same reason I have a big pile of mythril and one level 5 item.

In a way, this Roaming Warrior feature has backfired. Before, I always felt at least a little itch to drop some money on the Rare Relics that I desperately wanted, but that feeling has completely gone now because of the freebie Soul Breaks. They kinda need something really special now for you to spend your mythril on, because I've been quite happy refilling stamina with mine and forgoing the luck of the draw.

I found out today that getting a Roaming Warrior Tidus will just splatter most bosses with the max 9999 damage to all enemies, :monster:. It feels like it's removing the balance from the game tbf. But then, the 'bonus gold' events / daily dungeons kinda remove the point in awarding gold from regular battles, too.

I'm gonna play the shit out of this. I've had Black/White mage in my party the whole time, they're both gonna get replaced now, I dun care. And I fully expect Vivi/Garnet to be better in those roles anyway, :awesome:.

Yeah, why is Garnet getting top billing for the event? Especially since so many of the bonus characters have been white mages already.

Well, I was able to grind out and complete all the Classic Dungeons to get both Vivi and Garnet today. I also grinded out the 2 elite dungeon levels and unlocked the Vivi and Garnet Memory stones. The boss battle for Garnet's Memory stone was fucking sick. I had to try it twice before I was able to win.

I paused to make use of the Festival Of Gold event to power level Garnet (is it weird that I keep calling her Dagger first, even to this day? lol) and Vivi before it disappeared. Now am attempting the Elite Dungeons to get their memory stones.

Looks like I'm not going to be getting Garnet's Memory Crystal. That Mimic's Eat attack is just too much for my party to handle.

Yeah that attack was annoying but I managed to do it with a level 35-40 team. Make sure to level up the IX gear if you can, it really helps to give your characters a boost. I'm not sure if he is susceptible to Blind, or Aeris' stop/silence Soul Break, but that might help too.

Incoming very soon, IX dungeons, XII dungeons and new abilities.

I admit, I used up what precious Mythril I had salvaged. Didn't get it, but managed to nab another Zantetsuken and a Healing Rod (finally! Yes!!!!). I love Aerith even more now, lol.

The Zantetsuken is ridiculous. Fully levelled up, it's ATK is about 60 points higher than my next-best weapon, the Falchion.

is that what the numbers look like in the english one? that's different from the japanese game (where they're more 'old style pixely' ones), seems like a weird thing to change.

i did a 50 mythril draw and got a special weapon for tidus, which i'm happy about. it would have helped out with this ffx event if i had gotten it earlier :sadpanda:
