I'm leaning towards yes. I'm going to go do it now and check :D.

Yep, it's real. So much win.

So happy these were not uploaded on April 1st. That way I know they are real.

Tried to find other "Funny Game Overs" on YouTube but to no avail.

Yeah I noticed that over the weekend, I thought someone here said they retranslated that?
I heard this and it was brought up somewhere else. What I think happened was (from what I read and without having the Japanese texts on me), the line was something to the effect of "when I grow up I want to be a blitzball" in the original Japanese version, and in this remake they changed it to something to the effect of "when I grow up I want to be a blitzball player" in the Japanese version/translation.

So it was "fixed" for the Japanese translation, but not for the English translation.

I'm looking for more Game Over quotes online but man, not even extensive documents list Lulu's and Rikku's game over quotes. Not even FFWiki has this info. I suppose the only way to learn about all the quotes is to read an FFX Ultimania.

Now I'm tempted to get this.

And bug Lex about maxing shit, :monster:. I think I mentioned I put in 200 in the original, and that was with most the sidequests, but not maxing stuff or getting all of those Dark dudes. Actually I'm not sure if I even got just one of them. :monster:

My final file is somewhere around the 120 hour mark, everything maxed, absolutely everything done. And that was pretty much taking the most expedient path with the stat maxing. A lot of that time is leaving the game on while I did other shit though. And I did take my Vita with me everywhere when I wasn't at home too :D

Oh dear, that Auron glitch!! I was laughing out loud and I do not laugh out loud at these things. Thank God I wasn't drinking anything.

Well...that's exactly what the expert sphere grid is? Your PS2 version didn't have that, did it?

Well no, what I mean is, I thought the expert grid just had fewer stat boost nodes or something like that. The fact that it lets you roam around so much in the beginning was a surprise.

Unless I'm forgetting and you could roam around on the original. That was my question.

I didn't think so. Just making sure.

And ugh, why did they not put a cut scene skip option in this game? I had really been hoping for that. :(

While I understand that for people who have seen the cutscenes a lot - or are dying a lot and having to rewatch them - the ability to skip them would be very handy, I think it was the correct choice to leave that option out of the game.

Final Fantasy is made up of a lot of cutscenes and arguably this is what the game is. The experience of the game, and its story, is built in to the cutscenes and fmvs. The ability to skip would be handy if you've seen it a hundred times but for anybody who hadn't seen a cutscene and skipped it they'd miss out on really important information and experience. This is acceptable in other games where a lot of the story is told during gameplay as well, but not in this game.

It wouldn't bother me if it was included. I probably wouldn't use it, but I see no harm in providing the option.

And you fuckers are making me want to get this just for the Dark Aeons. I wish I could just transfer my 208-hour save file to the HD Remaster.

I would think that first-timers wouldn't be skipping cutscenes. But if they did, well I guess that's their loss.

But I had a hell of a time getting the Jecht Shot. And it has such an annoying cutscene right before you do it, too. :(

But then I realized that maybe my controller was broken and switched. Had no problem at all after that. :monster:

some people skip cutscenes all the time, even if they've never seen them

i don't understand those people

One of my friends skips cutscenes in Metal Gear Solid, it's the most infuriating thing to watch when I'm around his..... Don't do it. just NO!

I'm personally glad they didn't insert the "skip cutscenes" option. It doesn't matter how boring a scene might be, it's nostalgic and so visually beautiful in HD. So stfu and no u. :monster:

I don't really understand how it's an issue. It wouldn't affect you playing the game. No one would be forced to skip scenes if they didn't want to.

as long as it's an option, like you press start and square to skip

because i hate when it just skips if you press anything

there is a cutscene i have never seen the end of in anubis zoe because of that
