Okay, is there something I missed in the gameplay videos that allows Serah to switch from bow to sword? Or you just chose which to equip? Or it's situational?

She only shot once during the end of her combo, though. Maybe she only changes to sword form after she launches an enemy?
OT: Also Drake, do you have that other image of the art trade with the Deus ex art director. Not the Lightning, but whatever it is the other guy drew? I want to see it but haven't found it yet >__>

I wouldn't be too sure of that. Remember that in FFX-2 we had a group of only three characters (correct me if I'm wrong).
I really hope that Rygdea was also trapped into a time paradox like Lightning and that he will be in this game. But I think I'm hoping too much OTL

About Hope I hardly think he will be playable for much. Maybe he'll be a guest member like Beatrix in FFIX but I hardly doubt he'll become permanent. Remember we have the third spot already taken by the monsters.

I'm really sick and tired of the 'everything's the fal'Cie's fault!' crap. I know that's not in this game as far as we know, but... Really.
I know, Barthandelus in all his guises was working towards the elimination of all the lives in Cocoon and on Pulse (let's get real, it wasn't just about the humans.) Protecting the innocent (all of the lives who were unknowing and unwilling to take part in this plan) is the best thing to do. I am not saying that was wrong.
There are parts of this game and it's predecessor that seem so - cliche.
Etro's so typical, or should that be stereotypical. As I said, I'm not into the 'humanity can never be wrong!' crap. Cynical of me? Yes.
Even if I'm right, that Caius has something to do with Lindzei and that he's fighting against Etro, I don't find one can really consider him a 'bad guy'. Why? Read the mythology.
Lindzei's job was to keep Buniberzei safe, and to wake him when the gateway to Muin has been found. It seems it's been found by Lindzei or his fal'Cie via death and destruction.
Lindzei is naturally a fighter. His job is to protect, or to destroy, depending on which side you are on.
It also seems that Etro would be against Buniberzei - at least to a degree; and, humanity may also be considered a threat.
Ta-Da! Lindzei's doing what his father/creator said to do.
Sorry - I am just not feeling too friendly towards some of the ridiculousness I'm seeing in both XIII and XIII-2. It's not against anyone here.
Hopefully my expectations will be met at least in some degree where I can see some interesting plot devices, and be dashed in other areas where I see stupidity.

Serah and Noel must have traveled like 7 years in the future when they meat Hope. According to what is written there, 10 years have passed since the events in XIII. I like that. 24 year old Hope > 17 year old Hope

Motherfucking bitch, you better keep Sazh relevant in the game. Forcestealer's post makes me scared they are going to treat Sazh the same way the treated Barret in AC/C (badly, although to be fair, a lot of the characters got the short end of the stick).
