Wonder if that will change once the multiplayer aspect comes into play.I find this a bit funny as the DLC release schedule is really similar to an MMO update scheduled, only there's no MMO. So maybe that's what's behind the different reactions to it?

Honestly, and I'm sure X will whole-heartedly agree with me, I think the Ragnarok sword is worth the price of the Season Pass alone.
But the rest of the content is great as well. It's certainly unconventional with how Square has worked in the past, adding free story content as well as DLCs, but if you become invested in the game and the story, then it will prove its worth.
