When you start to do heists online, inbox me.
Methinks you need to add me. Even though I've done them all, I like doing heists every now and again. :awesome:

So Lex, which of the
three choices did you make?

C, but I had to resist A massively. I just don't like the idea that I'll be locking myself out of content. I imagine most people choose C. A is my "canon" choice, because Trevor is a fucking lunatic, but C is the choice I made this time. I made a save beforehand anyway if I ever have the urge to play the other two. It's never B haha, Michael is awesome.

I'll maybe try the online at some point soonish.

It's interesting that you think that. I also kept everyone alive, but if I had had to choose, I would have killed Michael. He already "died" once, to deceive Trevor, who might be a lunatic, but is at least an honest lunatic. Basically everything major that happened in the game was Michael's fault. I also found him to be the least interesting character with the least useful/interesting special ability.:P

I completely disagree about Michael. To be honest I can understand the betrayal angle (as in people may like Trevor because Michael is disloyal), but Trevor is just batshit insane. I know he appears loyal but I'd take a deal in an instant if it meant being away from him, never mind getting away with all the crimes Michael's committed in the past as well as a new identity/ money/ basically guaranteed security for me and my family.

I agree that Michael's power was shitty though, I rarely used it and when I did I found it fairly useless. Gameplay-wise Trevor was fun (the rampages and his power in general) but from a story perspective - yes he was interesting and well done, and you could see redeeming qualities every now and then. But there came a point when I just went "I really hope I can kill this guy". He's so endlessly problematic for everyone and he's just utterly rotten.

It obviously just comes down to who you side with re: Michael vs. Trevor XD. I can see the shitty disloyalty of Michael's actions but in his situation I would have done the same thing, I'm pretty certain of it. But that's because I couldn't ever consider someone like Trevor an actual friend, which might seem cold hearted but crazies be cray. I can definitely see the "cute" or "vulnerable" side of Trevor - some of his facial expressions kind of make him look like a wounded puppy - but if he's a dog, he's an old one with a terminal illness and needs to be euthanised. For the good of mankind.

I like ending A way more than the other two. C resolves none of the boiling character tensions and is probably the only time I consider 'save everyone' to be the imperfect ending choice to a game. Trevor is a fucking lunatic. Michael dying doesn't change this and neither does the C ending. I honestly couldn't imagine ever picking anything but the A option now that I've seen all choices.

For what it's worth I also found Michael to be the most relatable character, and also one of the most relatable characters in any game I've played. Trevor was also a huge highlight for me. So very rarely is a crazy & violent character ever well-written and Trevor is such a believable entity. This comes down to both the writing and Steven Ogg's performance.

Started playing my copy of GTA 5 on PS3 again. It was funny as I looked at the save files. It was exactly 2 years since I originally completed the game.

It is an oddly new experience to play it now. As the first time I played it was on a standard definition TV, and I am now playing on a 1080p monitor. Didn't think that would change the experience that much, but it really does.

Also, it seems when you start a new game you get to keep all the weapons you had in the old play through, not sure why that is.

Didn't know that last bit, but then, I never did do a replay; there's not really much replayability in the single player, and the multiplayer just feels like a different game (less polished, emptier, etc).

I'd like to play the PC or PS4 version though, the PS3 version was already very impressive in terms of graphics and such.

I agree, such is why it took me two years to come back to it.

Also, yes. Would like to get one of the enhanced version to see how much better it might look. Leaning more toward the PC version because of mods.

And first person mode, which is probably kinda bad but it'd give the game a wholly different perspective.

I have experimented with first person mods for several GTA games. Never works out very well. Now this might be different because it is "official", but my expectations are very low. I think the core game play of GTA requires a third person view to make it work, but I would love to be proved wrong.

Of course.

I assume that you stop and get out to take the money they dropped too? I mean it'd be just for safekeeping, there's a lot of shady characters in the game.

As I am replaying I am noticing GTA4 characters popping up here and there. Thinking back, I noticed this at the time, but just kind of forgot about them. Really wonder what happened to them between the games.

Johnny Klebitz, for example, what got him back with his junkie ex.

I've compiled every decent stunt I've done in this game over the past year in to one video. Next up will be a fail video which will be just as long lol.

I'm in a bit of a quandary. I had always planned to transfer the character I made in GTA Online on the PS3 to the PC or PS4 one day, but I don't yet own a PS4 and I've been waiting for the PC price to drop. Today I found out that the transfer system will close down in early March, so I only have a couple of weeks left to do it.

I can't decide whether to buy it now (it's on sale in the Humble Store) or wait. On the one hand, it would be fun to start from scratch again, but on the other, I had a level 120ish character with an awesome garage of cars, a very good win:loss ratio in races and a custom racetrack I was very happy with. Another dilemma is that I'd like to get the game on PC, but I don't think I'd have anyone to play the online mode with, since most of my friends are console peasants have it on PS4 (and there's no cross-play). I've also heard about lots of PC gamers being banned of cheating – wrongly so, if their personal accounts are to be believed. But I'm not buying a PS4 until the FFVII Remake comes out at the earliest, so it's basically a choice between transferring my character now to PC or starting over later on either platform. What do?

If you can get it on the HB and have a Level 120 character, I'd say go ahead and do it. You want to fun of starting from scratch, you can do that with the PS4. But you know at some point the PS3 Online services will not be keeping up with the PC and PS4 and you will lose all that.
