Dude seriously, what is your beef with this game?
Explain how the story is nonsensical, don't just say it is, explain it.
Stop going on about the graphics, it's game that came out in 1997, for it's time it was graphically pretty sound fastforward some.....17 years later yeah they look awful on the field. The battle graphics (have you even seen some of the summoning sequences) and the FMVs are actually quiet beautiful (Motorchase scene is one of my favourites in the entire game). You've got to also remember this was Square's first FF in 3D, there was a lot of elements to play with and test and you know what the pixel block characters are quite endearing and brilliant in context to certain scenes imagine playing Wall Market in a remade version, the comedy I'll be honest would be lost.
Next, can you stop comparing them to racing games, it's already been explained why the graphics on a racing game look smoother and better, so get that comparison and notion out of your head, if I was in love with graphics FFIV wouldn't be my favourite FF ever made and I'd probably think IX sucked balls (my second favourite)

The word "fantasy" is not a license to go full retard. The Hobbit, or There and Back Again made perfect sense and that was fantasy
You know what I really hate people like you who think the word "fantasy" is bogged down to one term, anything that could be considered not to make sense outside the terms of our reality can be considered fantasy.
Somone remind me why I'm still coming in here to argue.
Before you also continue on your little crusade of the FF games being the OK for the term fantasy to go insane, Final Fantasy as a series it's also steeped in mythological references and there's lots of references to Greek, Norse, Roman and other mythologies, that includes VII, if you bothered to do any research on the series, these are all elements that help make up a fantasy genre again if you bothered to do any research, not to mention magic is used in every single game another fantasy element.
So FFVII isn't your cup of tea, we get that, but seriously do some research before you start thinking of the series as insane in terms of the fantasy genre.
