Elated to hear I'm not the only "simple" person here. If this were Hunter X Hunter and we're trying to determine our nen types, we'd be Enhancers.
I automatically thought this too the first time I heard it. But I'm the kind of lazy 'gamer' who blitzes thru everything and ends up missing a lot of things, so reading alternate interpretations is cool and enlightening.

I'm exactly the same lol, the way how it was used at the end made me think "okay, at first we are suppose to think it's about Aerith but ACTUALLY it's about that entire Zack thing" I mean it's all there, the rain, the barren place, the big open sky, a bloodied and bruised Zack dragging a brain dead Cloud towards Midgar. This can't be unintentional

I also don't think it would really suit AC Cloud since it goes kinda against what the devs kept saying about him being actually happy and that's what scares him yada yada
Same thing with FF7 Cloud at the end of the game, he wasn't hung up about Aeriths death, he knew what he had to do to let her find peace, he was a positive guy who looked ahead and not back (ha!)

AC!Cloud is pretty depressed though, it's only near the end that he changes. He was better by the end of the OG + in the beginning of Case of Tifa, but as he feared losing everything he beloved, he went down right into depression.
I think, if it's something he lost, given where we hear this music, we can be pretty confident it's about Aerith+Zack. Aerith is worse because he was supposed to protect her as her bodyguard though. But maybe a little bit more of Zack because at this point of the game he already lost him.

Is Clessie still a thing? Or, rather, where would I discuss evidence that Jessie was, in fact, not serious about Cloud at all? Was this even ever mentioned? I'm aware that this pairing has little relevance to this topic (Clack hasn't either, though), but I just discovered it and wanted to share it. Could well be that this has already been mentioned somewhere, but I haven't seen it. It comes directly from Wedge, who surely knows Jessie well enough to make a valid statement about her:
"It's all a game to her. Don't fall for it! Life's a stage and love's the play!"
I don't know how I could've missed that before (maye because I don't care about that ship?)! I didn't wanna bring sour grapes to the Clessie-Club, that's why I'm posting it here. Is there even anyone left who bothers, since Jairus is gone? What would he have to say about that? Did he say anything about that?
I used to believe she had a serious thing for Cloud, but Wedge now convinced me she doesn't.

It was already mentioned. I think they understand Jessie doesn't like Cloud on the level as someone like Tifa, or even Aerith, but she does like him.

What page is this? And how exactly do they explain Wedge's comment? As I see it now, it has all been a kinda fun game for her since the beginning. Actually, it's bright and clear for me now. She finds him attractive on a physical level and has fun playing around with him, like in an actual play. But well, that's not really the topic here, but I can't possibly bring that up in the Clessie fanclub.It was already mentioned. That's the Clessie Club page. I don't know if it was brought up in that thread, but I remember seeing it in one of the threads on here
I felt the same way about her and Cloud. But we would never know if it led to more, since she died.
But well, that's not really the topic here, but I can't possibly bring that up in the Clessie fanclub.
I've talked about C&J with them. In my opinion, that ship is more of a "what if" type scenario. That club is no more bias than the Clerith and Cloti groups

I hope so. Especially when it comes to the HW scene bc that variant has always been weirdly placed there, tbh. ( especially after AC/C/Compilation).
As @Final_Heaven mentioned, I would prefer the GS date to be non-optional and with Aerith, but the fact that it involves other characters not related to the LTD makes it harder for it to happen. Maybe something similar to the GS dates, but for Aerith only would work as well.

Eh, let's not debate the validity of that here. Regardless of why the insistence on the hard-and-fast application of that rule for staying on topic in this section came about, I think this section should continue honoring it.
Maybe utilize the "Jessie, Bigss, and Wedge's roles in the remake" thread or make one specific to the subject in the spoilers section.

Indeed. I was bit disappointed, but I can see why they did that though. I guess SE thought it would be PC nightmare with making one of the two girls be the "bride date" for the night. That would kinda look like they were "working girls" or sex slaves. The PC atmosphere has changed since '97 with all the things that are going on in the US. It was just easier for SE make Cloud stand in instead.

Yes however Don Corneo chosing his "wife" wasn't tied to the LTD, so I'm not sure about them not leaving room for the GS, moreso, would I say, with them making those resolutions scenes in the Remake. They definitely are a nod to the GS date, so for them to leave it out after would be odd? I do expect the GS and the dates to take place, even though I wouldn't have minded an Aerith GS date paired up with a high affection Highwind scene.

Yes, but having Cloud be the one picked was always pretty much regarded as "winning" the minigame. Whereas the Gold Saucer date really was just reflective of how the player had played.

Yo, this thing is shippy as hell. These people know not what they do by implying Tifa is Cloud's true love.
Anyways, the JP version also references the shooting star they saw and while the English localization translated it as stream of life, it's meant to be Lifestream.
These two that did the official translation lyrics also did the official translation for "Hollow" btw in case anyone tries to call them unprofessional

The way I always play the OG is I'm always nice to both girls and I always get the Aerith date and the high affection HW scene, I just can bring myself to be mean to them 
I can't remember if I ever was to see the Barret or Yuffie ones (i'm old ok) but I have fond memories of one of my old save files being of working on getting my Aerith/Cloud/Tifa team to L99, I loved them so much, such a fun team <3
