Makes sense to me, I wrote a story with events so bad, I felt guilty for putting the character in that situation. There is no shame in feeling bad for a fictional character unless its that dick-face Cloud

Well, to be honest, most of my experiences are from a while back. I was more in the favor of Cloud and Aerith before, so at that time I had more encounters - and most of them were in favor of Cloti because of the fact that they hated Aerith's character, not because they supported the pairing (at least, I think so). I've heard some absurd statements coming from both sides. It just looks like there's been less shit-stirring going on Cloud/Tifa's side for now, but if Strifeheart was still open, I think most of you would be in favor that there are Clotis that can be just as fucked up.

You are right! I think the fandom has it's extremes on all levels, there are the 'rapids' on both sides. What I find pleasant about here is that the discussion between both sides is not outrageous, and arguments are well founded without bashing either character. It seems that on y/t or wherever, it entails character bashing which is not representative of either characters or their friendship to each other. Tifa thought dearly of Aerith and Aerith likewise to Tifa.

I only just saw that website now that the others were debating on, good job guys enjoyable read

You make a very good reference there Althea. We may take an occasional shot at Aerith (and Tifa for that matter) for fun, but I don't recall seeing anyone flat out attack a character in seriousness here. And you're right, I've always noticed that Tifa and Aerith often end up standing/sitting together when the party stops somewhere on disc 1, and Tifa breaks down completely when Aerith dies. Love rivals they may be, but they look like good friends to me.
