I got every frickin' upgrade before game time started tbh. It's that stupid Miranda who got pissed off and took a loyalty point away. Zaeed (on the secondary team escort mission) and Legion (for some reason, during the hacking tunnel sequence thing) and that betch Miranda died. </3

That actually happened to me on my first playthrough as well. I sided with Miranda (BIG SURPRISE) and then I tried to beef up my paragon to talk to Jack, but even the the bar at 100%, it still wouldn't let me pick the option so I said "fuck it" and just went into the suicide mission, only I made sure Samara handled all the pro-biotic stuff.

In the end, Jack lived, and she even gave Shep a bro nod at the end of it.


I'm honestly just shocked you got Miranda killed; over in the Bioware community people often complain she's one of the hardest characters to let die unless you really go out of your way.

I waited until I got full para on my first go to go for Jack's loyalty: since I'd pretty much completed everyone else's, it was halfway by accident. Then I went with the paragon option and YAY everyone is happy.

I care not for Miranda. Too bland, I like the colourful alienz in my team but I won't make the same mistake again and choose the guys wisely. And to max out Paragon.

My ME1 team was all aliens as well, I was prepared to do the same in ME2. But man, Miranda wormed her way into my cold and shriveled heart.

Mostly because when I took her out on missions, she was a fucking monster. She would be the one to run out there never scurred while Jacob hid behind a table screaming GRAVITY IS ONE MEEEEEEEEEEEEAN MOTHER

I think I broke down and talked to her after two missions.

Voice acting, first and foremost. Everyone can agree on that. She comes off as a true leader and bad ass, not an overcompensating bitch. MaleShep comes off like the stand-up comic that is his voice actor.

And being able to have lesbian romances is equally cool.

Probably another reason people prefer femshep. I never bother customizing, but I've seen some decently pretty femsheps.

The movie will of course probably cast a male in the role, but neither maleshep's model nor his VA are suitable. It will be interesting to see who gets tapped.
