Yeah, I got the feeling that deep down, Terezi didn't want Vriska hurt and that's why she was willing to listen and whatnot. Even though she likes to play 'killer prosecutor' she's pretty human herself and she couldn't do it. I think that's partially Karkat's human-ness and probably her interactions with Dave.
