That said, I'm really enjoying the extended cast. Any game that brings in Vivi is welcome. I wonder why it's a Dissidia game though. Same gods? Same worlds? Are they going to make this storymode instead of putting a storymode in the actual game?

I suppose this is a thing they could be just starting right now but it would feel awkward if this was Dissidia but none of the other crossovers are not.

I think you kind of forgot that Kingdom Hearts is also a huge crossover that's been marketed since 2002(unless you think it's not worth thinking about since Square Enix co-delevoped that franchise with Disney). Especially since they're adding more Final Fantasy characters for KH3.

It would've been nice if Dissidia Opera was on PSVita or 3DS rather than Mobile. I'm kind of sick and tired of having Final Fantasy on Mobile these days. PSVita hardly gets a lot lately.

Also I really want a a Dissidia storymode...

Hopefully a possible PS4 version would solve that problem. Maybe we'll hear something in the...whatever that event is that happens in December every year.

My concern about this new Dissidia is that they neglect to acknowledge the previous incarnations of the story.

I hope that's not the case. Duodecim had a pretty sad tale on its own, so not acknowledging it existed would kinda suck.

Has there been any indication of them porting it to PS4 soon? Or are we waiting another year or two?

Notice how Sazh has his L'cie brand. There's Cloud's gameplay on twitter too, showing alt weapons. I think that's why Tifa's gloves look weird in this video, they must be an alt for her.

I just saw this pop up on FB, which had me raising my eyebrows because usually I see the news here on the forums first or Twitter. Videogame stuff that trends in my FB feed is usually a few days after I've already heard the news.

But apparently the new Dissidia game is getting some more XII love? This is the first I've heard of this. This clip shows Vaan fighting various foes in the cathedral square of Rabanastre and god, the location looks absolutely glorious. Screw fighting in it, I'd love to just walk around in it.
