Video games should have good writing and narrative decisions too.

Of course they should and the simple fact that we're talking about this video game shows that this one has a compelling and memorable story. I just don't get all that bent out of shape over Corneo being alive when my real storyline beefs would be with characters growing angel wings and shoe-horning characters like Gackt into memorable moments during the OG like the Nibelheim reactor.

I don't think what's bother folks is Corneo's survival being less believable than the others listed (though it sort of is since Corneo is far and away less badass than they are, which would be why he's crippled and wheelchair bound now). Its more a case of him being the plump, pervy straw that broke the camel's back. He's just one too many. People can take a lot of surprising "Oh, so he's NOT dead?" moments, but the Comp has heaped on quite a few now.

Exactly, hell when I found out Rufus was alive I was annoyed... now the not dead people just keep piling up. Surely there could have been a way to write this without Corneo being alive.

At this point I won't be surprised to see Kadaj or Loz in the next Compilation entry

I have a question: In this post, there are 47 chapters listed, but only 46 are summarized here. Is a chapter missing or something?

Anyway, I'm looking foward to the translation of this novel although the story is not a literarily masterpiece.

I hadn't noticed that, but it is strange. The novel itself lists only 46 chapters, but I can't really see where this discrepancy is coming from since the other list seems to have the same chapter names as the book.
