Perseverance (Jessie/Clessie Club)

I got nothing for the flowers. They're presumably fro Aerith's house, but she obviously can't have brought them herself. I wonder if it changes depending on what flowers you pick in chapter 8?
Probably not. But I thought of another thing that adds to the likelihood of Jessie's survival. The Whispers were trying to make sure things happened the same way as in the OG. But in the OG, Biggs died in the pillar. So the very fact that he's alive is proof that defeating the Whispers changed things. Which means that since they could no longer force him to die, it's very possible that the same thing could be true of Jessie. Biggs' fate is no longer what the Whispers intended. It was changed when they were destroyed. And Jessie's fate could have been changed as well, leaving her alive when they wanted her dead.

You're working on the assumption that everything the whispers did was undone. I don't believe that to be the case, I just think they survived anyway.

I'm not sure exactly what happened. All I know is that Biggs is alive despite the Whispers wanting him dead, and up until the end, what the Whispers wanted, they got. Fate and the story's path weren't able to be changed until they were defeated in their realm, so I'm sure beating them changed many things, Biggs' survival being one of them. Which means Jessie could be alive, too.

Something else I noticed about that certain ending shot...

See the two dots in the circled area? I wonder if that could be this...

The buttons on Jessie's bag. If that is Jessie's bag over there on the other side of the dresser, then it's a good bet she really is alive!

Love it, chewie! Glad Clessie's getting some notice. And Ody, there's not much I can do about that shot. I wish it could work like you said, but that's the best I can do. The shot's already at 1080p, and I don't think 4k would show much more.

Yeah I figured. That really does look like it though, but I'm not sure the angle it's sitting at makes sense. Put that on the "maybe" pile.

Thought so. It's not clear enough to be certain, and the angle is a little odd like you said.

I've seen that before, but it's nice to know some us weren't the only ones ahead of the curve. :mon:

I can imagine in one of the trailers for FF7R Part 2 a shot of Cloud (and maybe the others) getting cornered by some Shinra troops only for an explosion to clear away the enemies. And walking through the aftermath would be someone in an Avalanche-style outfit like we saw in Chapter 4 with the face concealed. Then the person stops, takes off the mask, shakes out her hair, and we see it's Jessie grinning at the camera. She'd say something like, "Hi, guys! Miss me?"

Very nice!
Who knows, maybe she'll have some when/if she comes back for Part 2. That's be a cool twist on her character. And in Reflections, she wears them during her Shinra days, too.

Just hold on tight, okay?
she officially reached a million views.
IMG_20200424_141111.jpg
for perspective, no other 7R videos i can find has a million views yet. the most popular cloud and aerith video have around 100k views and cloud and tifa have 800k, but there's no million views for either.* the cloud and aerith/tifa videos were released in the same time frame as the jessie video, yet she's the only one with a million views. and of course, jessie is practically a new character. so the writers should be patting theirselves on the back on what they did with jessie, because they certainly succeeded. so, this is a really big deal and i hope S/E is taking notes on this, so we can finally get our jessie/avalanche merch!

*(i'm not saying, "Look Jessie is better because these girls are lower than her!" jessie is best girl imo, but i'm not crapping on aerith or tifa. i'm simply amazed that they're some of the main characters but a practically new one has more views than them. that's all.)

That's awesome that her video got that many views. I like the other girls, but Jessie to me represents a refreshing new angle to the age-old LTD, one that I hope SE keeps around. Tifa's basically just a walking trope - the old "childhood friends must become lovers" thing. I like her, but that is what she is. And I'd rather us be able to have a chance to defy that trope if we want to, and not merely through Aerith since she's inevitably bound to her fate.
But if Jessie returns, she'd be able to give us that option even after Aerith is gone. We could still have a choice as to who Cloud's heart belongs to. I just watched the plate collapse scene in the remake again, and the tower does not get destroyed. It remains intact. Which means the possibility that Jessie could be alive is even stronger since she could've been found up there and brought back to Sector 5 to be treated. Getting past the gap in the stairs wouldn't be too much of a problem, and if rescue workers knew that there could be a survivor up above them, they'd find a way to do it.

Can you show that the tower didn't fall?

I've been wondering if I should make a twitter. I'm no fan of social media, but I think my art has a pretty limited reach as it is now...

Here we go. I've circled the tower in each of these shots, the last of which is the last time we see it during the collapse scene. In every instance, not only is it still standing, it's not even on fire.

Stuff is coming down around the tower, but the tower itself seems pretty much undamaged.
