I really wish they'd explained more in *RE4* as to exactly who/why/how Krauser existed. He lasted 2 fights and a couple of cutscenes and all I got out of it was "I'm working for Wesker because he can help me" and that he was an old buddy of Leons that no-one had ever heard of before.

Darkside gave me the explanations that I was looking for in Resident Evil 4 and never got. :monster:

But the general principle of having one title on one format and then having the answers to all your questions on another gaming format in another game is just bollocks.

I'm just hoping Wesker puts Alice in her place at the bottom tier of the loser list and let Chris, Claire and Jill kick his ass while Alice deals with some...other villain?

These films are made by Jovovich's manchild boyfriend, you really think he's gonna shirk her in favor of characters he never had any interest in doing any justice to?

Who am I fucking? Your mom?

SNAP, SON!

You seriously need to take a joke, nigger. If you think I'm taking this movie seriously you need to stop huffing glue.

yeah I read about that, clusterfuck in waiting.

Also, on the subject of RE6, needs to be more like this, with better controls and wicked enemy encounters with minimal ammunition

Just WATCHING that deer head freaked me out. XD That's the kind of creepy shit I love. ♥ The creepy babies and mannequins reminds me more of SH's style, heh heh. Is that a ghost I see btw? Haunted Mansion? Seems kind of cool actually. A bit... erm, different though. xD

Coincidentally, the only parts of Resident Evil 4 that were remotely scary were the parts where you actually really needed the flashlight and had limited weaponry (which just happened to be Ashley's segment, the silly cuntface), which also happened to have those suits of armour. Those were so crazy, although the QTE took a bit of that punch out of the whole ordeal after the first time around.

Honestly I was half-expecting (and kinda wished) that the suits were going to chase the character around. If that had happened in Ashleys segment I might have actually shit my pants. That would have been gold. There weren't enough freaking-out moments in the game, imo. I would gladly go back to zombies and mutated bioweapons rather than just big dudes with parasites.

They should stick with the over-the-shoulder camera, though, because there are little "ngehhhh" moments with the remaining fixed angles in the rooms. And no adjustable aiming = fail.
I see a little stylistic similarity with Haunting Ground, which I thought was pretty nice. Every time Fiona gets chased the screen goes DADADADADADADADADA ERRRP ERRPP ERRRP and the music is helpful even if it is a little hammed-up :monster:

EDIT: On topic, I thought Sienna Guillory was the best part about the 2nd RE film, although that's about as complimentary as saying the regular zombies were the best part of the Spencer Mansion. :awesome:

this happens right after ashley figures out the mismatch puzzle with the pieces

Well shit I must have missed that. My bad. =(

I was probably too busy running in the other direction anyway to notice. I blame the lack of audio and visual cue, unless my memory failed again :awesome: Also possibly it might not have been long enough to be memorable.

Other large inanimate things that should be animated spontaneously, :monster::
Whole stuffed animals like grizzly bears
Shop mannequins (and crash test dummies driving death machines :awesome:)
Wax statues
And so on.

EDIT: Most of which have already been done at some point in other games. The more you know, :monster:

Also, Stove Man, despite all my fanchild friends' claims, was not scary. Seriously. It was more of like "woah what the fuck this is a rude surprise".

I don't see how anyone could have missed the loud clanking of armored knights :/

Yyyyyyyeah I suppose it's my shitty memory then, given I haven't played this in an age.

I mean I suppose it's also because the thing never caught up to me? I don't know. What I might be getting at is that if it wasn't that memorable then possibly there was something they could have done to improve it. Perhaps get an environmental mechanism to defeat it. Maybe crush them with the cage doors. I don't know.
I certainly don't remember having to do anything else except run to the next zone. And that's the other thing I notice now about Resident Evil 4: Very few of the enemies (if any iirc) followed you into major zone transitions. Very petty gripe, but in the case of the suit of armor... I don't know. I think it's time I played through the game again, I suppose.

(It could be entirely possible that I was running away because I was expecting something like that to happen even though I didn't actually notice, :awesome:)

It obviously doesn't matter anymore since the game didn't suffer too much from the lack of scary but I'd say, Resident Evil 6 = RE4 but with more scary.
I'm not sure why, but I always had this feeling that the over-the-shoulder camera angle was deliberately closer to Leon's shoulder than most other TPS cameras might have been simply to limit the "peripheral vision" that most other third-person shooters have, like having two imaginary horse blinkers at the sides of the player's TV screen. :monster:
