I hate what Sonic's become and I don't think a 70 odd metacritic score redeems him at all, but I'm glad some believers still exist and will happily involve in a sort-of revival.
I just wish classic Sonic was the "always" design. Seeing him finally in 3D feels like, the first time I've ever seen Sonic in 3D. It's a kinda surreal feeling of rediscovery, like my discarded childhood is coming back.
Then the furfag adored green eyed Sonic with the ugly proportions and unexpressive attitude, trashy voice acting and dumb rock leitmotif comes blasting in to steal screen time. Turns a perfectly gold childhood reunion sour, reminding me of ADHD children drawing a metric fuckton of poorly done Sonic styled fanart over DA and proudly declaring recolours as new characters.
It's a good game by the looks of it, I saw DSP's playthrough an' all.
I just don't like that they acknowledged my favourite character and childhood hero exists as a separate entity while promising me he'll never be a mainstay.
