People seem to either love Shadow or despise him as all that is wrong with the new games. As I've said before, I had no problem with him for one reason - he plays identically to Sonic, just like Tails and Knuckles did in the old games.

Either way, he's just as a rival and I think I would have been surprised had we not seen him.

Shadow perfectly represents the bullshit that was wrong with Sonic during the mid "Adventure" era, especially with his own crappy game. The gratuitous swearing, guns, shitty gameplay, and over the top violence, in his game clearly showed Sega had no fucking clue what made Sonic, Sonic. Combine that with cliche "bad guy/misunderstood asshole" personality he had, and just.... He's such an empty shell, trying to draw in fucking teenyboppers.

And he really didn't play as Sonic. Not in his game, at least. It was fucking horrid. As for Sonic Heroes, that game was fucking garbage.

I just hope I can ignore him and his shitty voice and enjoy everything else

I bought my PS2 Slim used and got a few games with it. Shadow was one of them. Gave it a try and goddamn, did this game make me angry. Terrible framerate, terrible control, terrible main character, terrible story. What a load of ass.

I recently started playing Sonic Unleashed btw.
Grinding for medals is really a shitty system for level progression. >.>

yeah I'm pissed about Shadow but not enough to not try it or anything, I was just really hoping he'd stay out of it. This game is just so awesome looking and I don't want it to be filled with .. well.. Shadow stuff.
