So honestly I still don't follow all this time travel shit and judging by the fact that I got 3 different answers from you guys, I'm guessing it's just not explained well I'm just going to say a wizard did it.


But another thing I don't get, was the Xigbar we saw Xigbar from KH II or was it the re completed Braig?

It was Xigbar. All the ones you see at TWTNW besides Master Xehanort are brought from the past; that's why they all fade away at the end of the story.

So, they're all dead in the present (i.e. circa KH3D's ending) then? And Master Xehanort has absorbed their "pieces" of darkness in his quest to recreate the original Keyblade? Or no? They're still alive and will be fought again in KH3?

Or are they dead in the present, yet will still be fought in KH3 before being returned to their proper relative states of "present" to die in the past ... because time travel?

Is such an explanation really needed in a setting with talking lions, merfolk, a keysword that opens/closes portals, and whatever the hell Oogie Boogie is? =P

Those are different. At least they have a reason to be in KH, because, well, they don't have to stand still or pretend not to move. Even though the Lion King doesn't have much of a way of magic, it still has some sort of power, like Mufasa's ghost, the great kings of the past, and even the new "Lion Guard" TV series. The Roar of the Kings or whatever you call them.

Toy Story on the other hand...I just don't believe it fits at all. Besides, Buzz can't use his laser because it's just a little light bulb that blinks, and Woody is useless.

If you want Sora to confront a giant or something, ya' might as well add in the Land of the Giants to have him encounter Willie the Giant from the Disney short "Mickey and the Beanstalk" from the main movie, "Fun and Fancy Free".

Why shouldn't Toy Story be included?

The only Pixar film I can see that'll actually fit into KH is Brave.

2. I'm curious. Brave is the ONLY Pixar film you think, will fit in Kingdom Hearts?

Magical setting that also has traces of darkness, like Mor'Du. The others are just, while fun, plain stupid for a Kingdom Hearts setting.

The Braig thing might've been up for debate, last time I checked. I think for now you can say that the one leading you with the Org in 3D was Xigbar recruited from the past, and the guy with YX in the Re: Coded cutscene is Braig recompleted.

I don't think it's safe to assume that all the new org members are 'dead' characters from the past.
Master Xehanort is using the 12 other members to fight for him, representing Darkness. They go against whichever 7 heroes step up for the Light side. The conflict between those 'pieces' of Light and Darkness is what creates the χ-Blade, Xehanort's goal.

The Darknesses can and will be summoned again from the past for the conflict that awaits in KH3. They only showed up in 3D to have some kinda effed up grand reception for Master Xehanort's recompletion and Sora's inauguration.

In the secret ending of 2.5 which is set during the events of Dream Drop Distance,

Both Braig and Young Xehanort kidnapped Isa who was unconscious after he, Lea, Dilan, Aeleus, Ienzo and Even were restored to human form. Since Saix was loyal to Xemnas, Axel was a traitor, and the other four were either useless or too loyal to Ansem the Wise, Isa was picked to be part of the new Organization and unfortunately fell victum to become a Vessel. So Isa is trapped within the heart piece of Xehanort

which sucks for the poor guy and for Lea to cope with.

And if it was Xigbar where's Braig?

Especially since even as Braig returned to human form, he still possibly holds the piece of Xehanort's heart, as seen in the near ending of Birth by Sleep where his eye is turned from brown to gold and his ears turned pointy

In fairness, I haven't had the largest amount of thought put into that angle. You might even wonder, given the nature of YX and ?Braig?'s conversation, are they choosing someone to join Org XIII?

2) If you assume the character in the Re: Coded scene is separate... well, it seems he has his own agenda, doesn't it?

Nomura really wants to keep all the active players a mystery. I have my own ideas about what's going on though.
I like to give you all more questions in my answers. I'm studying Nomura's ways.

Well, I'm just stating the obvious, because Braig was gesturing at the unconscious men in the room and "S" is definately Saix, not Sora, since as far as Xehanort's concerned, Isa is dead, thus the perfect vessel because he's practically evil(not Isa, but Xehanort). Why else Isa would've just disappeared before Lea woke up and then he showed up to try to stop...

? So he's bound to fight against Lea in KH3 as a vessel, not on Braig's side.

Plus, Braig's the one that's hard to figure out, but all he wants is a Keyblade. I'm just going with logic since it makes more sense.

Hmmm interesting. Never thought about that. Stuff like the Heartless won't have a natural presence in the level/world.

Agreed. I don't see the issue with the toys needing to pretend to be inanimate either. If one needs to see a magic element to that world to qualify it for an appearance, there it is.

In terms of it needing to be explained, since it's not an issue with the setting of the "Toy Story" movies, it wouldn't be an issue if there was a world based on it in KH. Halloween and Christmas Town's existence didn't demand similar explanations.

At least they have reasons to be in Kingdom Hearts. Pooh's in a magical storybook, Pinocchio was brought to life by a magical Blue Wishing Fairy, Tron's computer system was out of whack, and Tarzan learned to only speak animal-language due to having grown up in the jungle.

Even Cinderella's world had magic due to the Fairy Godmother and Cinderella grew up being friends with the mice. You also made a mistake there; Ven was the one fighting the housecat, not Aqua. All the latter did was keep Jaq safe from the Unversed after being magically shrunk by the Godmother.

Regarding the "Sora or Saix?" question, one of you should check the Japanese version of the scene. Both names begin with the same letter, but in Japanese, they begin with two distinctly different syllables. That should tell you definitively.

I've not checked, so I don't know.

Agreed. Anyway, Marvel and Star Wars are just...too cringy for the Kingdom Hearts universe and for the Final Fantasy universe. Dragon Quest, maybe, or even Tomb Raider(though that's more of the Europeon property than anything), but not Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy.

Or something similiar to World of Final Fantasy.

Yes, as a humorous way of knocking you for going on about how the other worlds had all these random magic things but Toy Story didn't because it was a normal world with talking toys. He was laughing at the cognitive dissonance inherent in essentially every one of your posts. That wasn't a "stop talking about this" comment, it was a "We're done here because you admitted the opposite of what you were arguing against in your very post!" You kept arguing with the guy, and then you just threw in a line saying that he was right!
