Maul's stuff. Sam Witwer is my favourite. He was both the physical and voice model for Starkiller as well as the voice of Emperor Palpatine in The Force Unleashed games – he even got to do some voiceovers for various things in The Force Awakens too.

I LOVE his portrayal of Maul endlessly, and how he clung to the Sith's code and the powers of the Dark Side to keep himself alive at the expense of anything else.

Things get especially awesome from here on out.

This season started out SOOOOOOOOOOOOO obnoxiously boring for me because the first four (or so) episodes were Padme and politics and there was a severe lack of Ahsoka throughout the entire season, but that last episode made up for it.

I haven't played any Star Wars games, but I'm inclined to because (I think) they're Canon?.

Also, my wallet is crying right now. I'm putting together a savings for ALL of the comics. It's like $20 for a combined volume of 6 comics, (IIRC). There's Vader, Leia, Kanan, Skywalker Strikes, Maul, Lando(?)...I think I'll be setting aside a few hundies for comic books before the year is through. ;___;

Battlefront (which is kinda shit) is the only one that's been made since Canon was reset (not including the Star Wars Uprising mobile game, which is kinda okish). Force Unleashed & all that got swept away.

They DO tend to pick up and reference little things from games though (KotOR and others especially) as they're rebuilding canon, so while they're not canon properly, they might reintroduce some things from it to make them canon.

Most of the seasons should be pretty solid from here on out, but I get how 4 starts out iffy but ends great.

In those comics, I'm not aware of Skywalker Strikes, but here're the ones I own that are canon:

• Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir - first Dark Horse comic as a part of the new Canon, and continues from the end of Clone Wars.
• Star Wars (Ongoing)
• Vader (Ongoing)
• Leia (5-part)
• Chewie (5-part)
• Lando (5-part)
• Journey to the Force Awakens (2-3 part)
• Obi-Wan & Anakin (just started)
• Kanan (11-part... maybe ongoing)

But yeah, they'll probably run ya some when it's all said & done. Comics make your wallet cry and your heart smile. It's a tough balance.

I'm legit SO excited for you to keep rolling through all this into Rebels. Oh my science.

I'm about to finish season 5, but....do I need to watch the Lost Missions before Rebels? Good god I'm running out of time. ;___;

No, if you finish season 5 you've seen everything relevant to Rebels so far.

The Lost Missions have some good stuff in them for sure, but like Tets said, they're not a prerequisite to anything that's happened in Rebels yet.

I hope I can catch up. I have to watch the Lost Missions PLUS two seasons of Rebels by the 30th so we can cry the cries together. ;___;

On a side note, This. SO much this <3 To my knowledge, it's a compilation of comics that makes up Maul's unused story that would have occurred had The Clone Wars t.v. series continued past season 6. I only see a few copies on ebay and this one's the cheapest. Seems to be worth it too because it looks like the individual issues are $30 and up on ebay.

Also, I'm just saying... you can get all four issues of Son of Dathomir for $2 a piece on ComiXology. Also, it was the first official comic that was a part of the new Star Wars canon, so it's about what happens just after Clone Wars if I recall correctly.

It was so good, SO GOOD. I feel like screaming at random people because it was that good. Like when the remake was announced and I wanted to slap people in the face and tell them about our lord and savior, Jenova...that's how I feel right now.

Just started Season 6. Decided why not since it's kind of short.

A lot of my favorite parts so far have been Anakin/Ahsoka related, such as

all the times she saved his skin and he's too much of a butt to at first to admit it...then as the series progresses, he sort of trusts her to save his butt. Of course the finale of 5 is the bestest, but another that I will never get over is the episode with the father/son/daughter - when Ahsoka is brought back to life and the look on Anakin's face and he hugs her. ;________________;

I don't want to be that shipper person but my god they would have so much more interesting of a relationship than Anakin/Padme if only Ahosoka had stuck around a little while longer. I personally don't see an issue with their age gap (what is it, like 5 years) but half the internet would be apauled by it.

Plus every scene with Maul! FFS there is nothing sexier than Star Wars doing shit right.

I was really impressed with all the action/fighting scenes in this series too. Nothing looked awkward - it was all really well thought out.

Ooooohhhhh man. I cannot WAIT for you to get to the Season 2 episode "Shrouds of Darkness" because of reasons. I think you'll have just as many feels as I did. (They're the "screaming out loud at your computer/tv kind).

I didn't like Ahsoka at first because it seemed like an annoying attempt at creating a young, sassy "hip" character for the kids. "Skyguy" was also a stupid nickname for Anakin

But boy did she come through in the end

Ahsoka really is one of the best developed characters, because she starts out as someone you're not totally into, but ends as someone you care the world about.

Tbh I felt the same way about Anakin before seeing TCW. Only really liked the guy in Revenge of the Sith during the final scene with Obi Wan. If it weren't for The Clone Wars and what little of the Vader comics I've read, I wouldn't like the guy, well...hardly at all.

For some reason, I liked Ahsoka from the very beginning. She had a big chip on her shoulder, but as the series progressed I'd say she humbled the fuck up.

Also, there's a Rebels Season Finale trailer that io9 got access to that recaps a bunch of Clone Wars that has my feels 100% overwhelmed.
