Well the debut was like


it was great don't get me wrong

But the copious use of WoL's soundtrack spliced funny plus zooming gameplay clips doesn't feel like a "debut" trailer to me that's all

fair enough

To me it looks like more of what we got with WoL, with a different spin on some of the RPG elements and - considering this is Blizzard - no doubt some improvements here and there, and I loved the WoL campaign so I am truly excite.

Yeah the focus on upgrading Kerrigan looks like there'll be a lot more dungeon-crawling missions.

Nope, they already cleared that hurdle several months back - originally the mod was titled 'World of Starcraft' which Blizzard didn't like (they also thought that the game was being developed outside of the SC development kit which they didn't like either). After the guy changed the name to Starcraft Universe and made it clear to Blizz that all development was done using the SC kit Blizz was like GO WITH THE GRACE OF ACTIVISION MY SON AND GLHF.

So yeah, no worries there. And fyi, the beta will supposedly be ready 'later this year', no official date though.

I like. Did they ever fix the keyboard input lag yet? That's (from a player's point of view) the biggest hurdle in fancy Starcraft mods.

And Blizzard should go and make an action-RPG out of Starcraft themselves already, . Or a good first or third-person shooter. With motherfucking Zerg.

No dude at some point when Ghost was being developed Blizzard canned all their more experimental IP just so they could focus their resources on WoW expansions. That included Ghost. They haven't put it on their official cancelled list only because a) they now know it's something they shouldn't have let go and b) they like fucking with their fans

It is as royally retarded as it sounds (and smacks of classic Activision bullshittery but I don't want to jump to any more conclusions than I already have)

So we're stuck with the same MMO, RTS and RPG for forever - not saying that none of them are of bad quality at all, but god forbid they try and expand their IP in more creative directions after all this time

They're also doing Diablo 3 atm. And the MMO they're developing - which will most likely be announced in five years, then be released another five years later or something - is supposedly not linked to any of their existing franchises.

For a company that only releases one game every five years or so, they're doing pretty well for themselves .

I guess what I'm saying is that they could have had some serious money in Ghost at the time when it was being developed, but they completely missed the mark by canning it back in 2003. Now the stealth genre has been much more refined nowadays, the release of Ghost would be nothing more than a splash in a pool that has gotten much, much bigger between then and now.
