Some stage stuff I wanted to point out. Besides the iconic set pieces, you can see other areas of the Northern Cave rendered. Like the climbable slopes and spiral stalagmite.

I've always thought that with a few modifications, Smash's aesthetic would've been perfect for a FF7 remake. It can capture that 90's RPG feel and the lower fidelity would've maybe prevented it from being split into parts. Someday when FF7 is remade again, I hope they take my advice haha.

Exactly, Odysseus has got it right. You gotta pull some really gimmicky stuff to kill him that early. (The 3 second one was through the Game and Watch strategy, though I got 8 seconds with Chrom by chaining f-air into a Chromcide...I bet something similar could be done with Cloud)

Poor Sephiroth is being beat to a pulp with this challenge...

When not using total gimmicks, Cloud’s limit break version of Blade Beam takes Sephiroth’s health down pretty quickly.

Has anyone mentioned how perfect Sephiroth's stage is, when put together with Cloud's? Cloud got Midgar, the place where the whole story started (for the players at least). Sephy got the Northern Cave, where the gameplay ends and its all cut scenes from here. Nice bit of book ending they did there.
