TES V: Skyrim

I found the main quest short compared to trotting around with the myriad of side quests. Good thing you can play on indefinitely after clearing the main quest (sort of a Final Fantasy X-2 New Game Plus), as I would have found myself lost after that. Still so much to do in Skyrim.

Even after the side quests, there are yet many things that can be done. Many.

i've decided to start a new character, going for a necromancer build (not enough games let me raise my own unholy army)

i think i'll actually put some skill points into alteration this time. i'm ready for you, ash shell, come to me.

I'm hoping to get Skyrim mods this week as a V-day gift, but if not, I'll just buy it myself. Lord knows where I'll get the time to play it, but play it I will goddamnit!

Btw, it's a bit of a bittersweet feeling, hearing what happened in Morrowind and what has been happening in the isle, visiting places that are now in ruins...

and one of the last Silt Striders is sitting by a river; apparently her owner is waiting for the animal to pass away peacefuly in a place that looks familiar to her. So many memories...

I'm really loving this Dragonborn DLC. I love all the lore connecting it to Morrowind (and Oblivion), I like the intrigue of what's going on. The smaller relative size of the map let's you get closer with the NPCs and you feel you're doing legitimate good to Raven Rock. It's also nice that I'm a Dunmer, makes me feel that much more connected. Hearing the Silt Strider call is also cool.

And playing tracks from Morrowind's soundtrack. AWESOME touch, Bethesda.

Man I have so much catching up to do. Used to have a character who'd done the main story and about half of dawnguard, but then I switched to my own steam account and stopped using my brothers.

My own guy right now is just starting the main quest of SKyrim. Then we do the civil war. Then Dawnguard. Then Dragonborn. This'll be a long investment.

Glad to hear Dragonborn is good though, so it'll be worth my time.

dawnguard might be glitchy. have a fixed savestate before starting its quest just in case. you might reach a point on which it crashes every two minutes.

but to answer your question, dragonborn > dawnguard

The same reason one likes to see two week kittens explore their surroundings. It's cute when they try.

And yes, Dragonborn story is better than dawnguard, but it is fairly glitchy with CTD on the worldmap, but those seem worst, at least for me, in the southeast of Solstheim.

I can't wait to see Skyrim in crazy good graphics with pretty mods as soon as we get Force's new computer all set up...getting so close... Then I shall play Dragonborn

Finally replaying it, and my character shrunk by about 2 foot somehow.
Somehow I was playing as a Hobbit, had to use console commands to fix it, no idea how this happened.

So has anyone played Dragonborn yet?
