Why would you bother watching 6 minutes of a movie in the first place before its released?

Edit - Also, according to io9.com, evidence suggests there will be a really long fight scene in the film, or something. I'd watch the movie just for that.

Looks like Bane had some spinal surgery.

Looks like the Ghost Protocol IMAX thing is still happening. There's also some word about what's up with Bane's spine in Dacon's previously posted image, in addition to when the film takes place (which surprised me more than anything).

I still have hope. Nolan says something about this film will show who batman really is. This gives me a bonus amount of hope. I'm sure Nolan, when saying that, means he will add depth to what we already know about the character, and it won't be run-of-the-mill. I just hope he touches on one attribute that I think really needs to be emphasised: Batman's sanity, or lack there of.

Nolan said:
He was injured early in his story. He's suffering from pain and he needs gas to survive. He cannot survive the pain without the mask. The pipes from the mask go back along his jaw line and feed into the thing at the back where there are two canisters of what ever it is…the anesthetic.

This is absolutely retarded.

It would've made some sense in the first new generation Batman film, i.e. when he quits being just a rumor and becomes a public character.

This is the rumored prologue summary.

The prologue opens with the Warner Bros. symbol, cased in a dark grey/white iced type of design. The faint sound of snow or rain can be heard, but it's pretty quick and just breezes over. It give me a Batman Returns feel, as in the look of the symbol. The Batman symbol appeared from the background, slowly closing and and fading out to -

Harvey Dent's funeral. Gordon stands beside others. "I knew Harvey Dent. He was my friend, and it will be a long time before someone inspires us the way he inspired us." It cuts quickly.

Now we cut to a landscape full of hills and mountains. It kinda reminds me of Batman Begins, that sort of region. I don't believe it is, but I can't be sure. It's spectacular t watch this on the big screen, it's really awe inspiring stuff. We see a jeep or small truck of some kind drive along a narrow road at the bottom of one hill. Then it stops and unloads a few masked men onto a large plane. An armed guard (CIA I think) realises that one of the prisoners is in fact Bane! Anyway, everyone is loaded onto the plane and kneeled down in one area. The plane takes off.

The interrogator grabs one of the prisoners during the flight, opens the door (a massive gust of wind) and threatens to shoot his head off. He shoots his rifle past his head out of the window, it's crazy. The other prisoner in line is brought up, his mask is taken off and it's Bane!

"Was it in your plan all along to get captured".

Out of nowhere (I nearly bloody **** myself) a massive roar is heard, and from the exterior we see a much large plane fly over this plane. The doors of the large plane open, and a few guys (4 or 5) JUMP (this is spectacular, mind blowing... just epic, you won't believe it) from the large plane on top of the other plane holding Bane.

The CIA guard points out to Bane's mask. "If I take this off, will you die?". Bane gives a chilling reply, "No. But it will be painful... for you!". Bane snaps his cuffs from his hands and raises his arms high, his body filling the screen, it's so menacing!

Boom (seriously, scary stuff), the guys from the other plane shoot holes into the smaller plane. Wires are hooked onto the small plane and it's being dragged by the large plane securely. The guys enter the small plane and ruin the party. Suddenly, the small plane ERUPTS, like thunder, everyone is thrown around the plane as the big plane drags this small plane via the hooks and cables. Bane grabs a guy from the side who must be of some importance, attached him to himself. The plane shudders more, and the camera stays so still as the plane tilts and goes upside down, things flying about inside everywhere. Then we cut to lots of crazy angles as we get dizzy watching this thing twist and turn though the air. It's all practical stuff as well, the only CGI I could see was outside of the planes, on the ground and the wind, it's hard to spot but it is fake (apart from distant shots of the plane moving around).

A massive hole is ripped in the side of the plane, and Bane hooks something to himself and the guy he's holding. Bane's men watch from the sides, they look concerned.

This part I can't remember much: someone says "What are you going to do" and Bane replies "crash the plane". I'm not sure about this, I could barely understand all dialogue over the crazy action.

Anyway. Bane is FLUNG out of the plane with the guy, and the planes propel downwards, sending everyone inside onto the roof as the G Force kicks in. One guy flies out of the hole.

It ends. Then, to my disbelief, we get this awesome sizzle reel of footage. Bane's chant is heard (from the trailer). We see one fast shot of Catwoman (he hair flowing, her goggles/cowl on), one shot of Selina in the back of a taxicab (looking pretty dam concerned, almost crying), a shot of a large, vast fight on the streets of Gotham with a camo-Tumbler and finally an epic shot of Batman's Batwing, flying down a street and chasing the Tumblers through blizzards of snow. Then, one final shot of Bane's arm dropping a CRACKED Batman mask onto the ground. Such a terrifying, iconic shot.

Oh, and Bane's voice is EPIC. I'd like to stress that his voice was NOT the only one that was difficult to understand. He sounds like Darth Vader with a deep, husky British accent. So menacing.

There's also some more rumors about the story of the film, don't read them if you fear being spoiled.

Miranda Tate is Talia al Ghul. She is the new head of the League of Shadows. But Bane will not be affiliated with them. He is an entirely different villain, with his own supply of mercs to take over Gotham. The LoS are already planning to overthrow Gotham during the 8 year time lapse and near the middle of the movie Talia and Bane make an agreement to join forces.

-Bane forces Leonid Pavel to build him the Doomsday device we've seen in set photos, and I can confirm that it is a nuclear bomb/EMP machine. After Talia and Bane's agreement, she contacts members of the LoS who are working in the White House (it is implied, possibly as a joke, that the President is in fact a member of the LoS) and other important LoSers to not send in the army or National Guard. They shut off Gotham from the outside world and if anybody tries to get in or out, the bomb will go off.

-The Scarecrow scene description we've read is true, it is the only way to escape Gotham. The criminals are against the LoS and form an unstable and awkward alliance with Batman later in the movie. Scarecrow kidnaps Talia at some point and holds a trial for her (like in the description). Obviously, some mercs come to rescue her and Bane kills Scarecrow.

-The bomb will go off at the end of the movie. This is the shock ending Nolan is planning, Batman tries to save Gotham using the Batwing but it doesn't work. The bomb shuts off all electronics in Gotham as well.

-Now time for some interesting news. There is only one LoS flashback and that was what was filmed with Liam Neeson. Josh Pence doesn't play a young Ras, he plays a Government official. He is basically the guy who deploys Nixon to Gotham and he is the person who realises that the whole Bane/Talia thing is a huge conspiracy. He manages to overthrow the corrupted White House members and begins to evacuate Gotham.

-After everybody's evacuated from Gotham (and the final battle has already happened), Batman and Bane have their final brawl. Catwoman fights with Talia and after they are beaten, Batman offers to take them out of the city. They jump at the chance, beating down Bats and Cats in a suprise attack. They reach the Batwing (called The Bat) and Bane pushes away Talia, taking the vehicle as the only way out of the crumbling city. The bridges are up. Batman and Catwoman have to work with Talia to find a way out of the city. The way they escape is actully brilliant. In Begins, Alfred tells Bruce that his great-grandfather was a part of the underground railroad and that the Batcave came in handy. And that's the answer. The cops of Gotham hide in one of these tunnels when Bane and Talia are ruling Gotham and that's how the team escape.

-The citeizens of Gotham go their seperate ways after immigrating to different cities across America and the world. He didn't go into specifics about this part, but he joked that Wayne Enterprises is re-built in Metropolis.

That's the TDKR spoilers out of the way, now time to delve into the reboot news. WB have only had light discussions about this and are heavily focusing on TDKR. But of course, their minds are flying forward and thinking about the reboot. They really want to reboot it as quick as they can because obviously it's bankable and it needs to rebooted if they want to do a shared universe. They're not looking at actors or directors just yet, but they've kind of figured out a plot of how the movie would go.

-It would be a reboot, but the origin is told in flashbacks. It would show off Batman's detective side, by choosing a heavily-wanted villain for TDKR....

-That's right, The Riddler is the planned villain. Riddler would leave puzzles for Batman to solve and if he got them wrong, someone or something he loved would die. The something refers to a building or something similar *cough Wayne Enterprises cough*.

- Unlike the Nolan trilogy, the movies would be seperate installments. They wouldn't be directly related. So something similar to the connections between BB, TDK and TDKR won't happen.

- It will be more comics-orientated. The series will handle a lot of different genres, including Action, Mystery and Horror. The horror part is about the side villain: Man-Bat. Riddler will kidnap somebody random and prepare to turn them into Man-Bat. If Bats solves the puzzle, he will live. If he gets it wrong, then he'll undergo the operation.

- WB are trying to introduce new villains to the general public, hence Man-Bat. The next part is based on speculation and hints, but the other villains in the franchise will all have either already appeared in a movie (and had their character completely obliverated, like Mr. Freeze) or be completely new (ala Killer Croc, Black Mask and Hugo Strange).
