^Awesome.

I absolutely love how Nolan approaches everything with a non/minimalistic usage of CGI.
Seeing the stunt men hanging on the fuselage of that plane mid air gave me chills, that is absolutely amazing.

I felt like Nolan upped the ante when it came to little/inventive use of CGI in Inception, but it looks like hes really bringing out the big guns for DKR.

Ive purposely avoided watching the trailers so that the movie is entirely fresh, but seeing Bane word for word pull a panel out of Knightfall was awesome. Thursday night cant come soon enough.

What I've been doing. :comedian:
I think I only watched the first two and avoided everything else.

You know, I'd love to check out this movie in IMAX.
Unfortunately, the only viable option is the BFI Imax in London. =/

There are only two IMAX cinemas in Germany that show "true" IMAX, but they don't show feature films, only documentaries. >.>
It's sad that 3D seems to be thriving while this goes down the shitter.

Read the plot of the movie, I like it, there's a few things I'm not sure about but I'll wait after I see the movie tomorrow to pass judgement on them.
Not that anyone hasn't figure it out already here but Miranda Tate is indeed Talia and she's actually The Big Bad of the movie while Bane is The Dragon. Both are killed in the end, Bane at the hands of Catwoman and Talia at the hands of Batman. John Blake is heavily hinted at being Robin and inherits the Batcave in the end from Bruce who doesn't die but ends up chillin' in Italy with Selina.

This sounds more like Nightwing to me, for some reason... even if there's no real connection. :P

HOHOHOHO~! So, the bat and the cat are together now, ha? For some reason, this amuses me greatly.

Unfortunately, I have to wait a whole MONTH before the movie comes to the Greek cinemas... :'(

Totally great. I was mega surprised about how much I liked Hathaway's performance, and I loved the story. The climax of the film was amazing. Also- I was mega pleased that I knew absolutely nothing about the film's plot going into it.

Just got back from a midnight premiere. Awesome film. I lost track of a plot point or two, and some things stretched my suspension of disbelief a bit, but overall this is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. And I definetely must buy the soundtrack.

You're all bastards for being able to see it before me. :monster:

Also:

Twelve people were killed and at least 50 others wounded early Friday when a gunman wearing a bullet-proof vest opened fire during a midnight screening of the latest Batman movie near Denver, authorities and witnesses said. A three-month-old child and a six-year-old girl were among those treated, according to reports. Authorities said the gunman had appeared at the front of the theater during the film and released a canister of tear gas. Witnesses told reporters that the gunfire erupted during a shootout scene in "The Dark Knight Rises". "It was mass chaos," witness Jennifer Seeger told TODAY. The gunman shot the ceiling and then "he threw in the gas can, and then I knew it was real." "I told my friend, 'We've got to get out of here,' but then he shot people trying to go out the exits," she recalled. She said the shooter made his way up the aisle, shooting as he went, saying nothing. Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates initially told journalists that 14 people had been killed but the figure was later lowered to 12. A suspect was apprehended in the shopping center's parking lot, Oates said. He was named as 24-year-old James Holmes, two federal officials from different agencies told NBC News.

The incident occurred in the Century 16 Movie Theaters at the Aurora Town Center, police told NBC News. Aurora is a suburb less than 10 miles east of downtown Denver. NBC station KUSA-Denver cited a witness as seeing a black-clad 6-foot-tall man wearing a riot helmet, goggles and bullet-proof vest. However, many people attended the film dressed in Batman-related costumes.

I'm not going to discuss anything about this movie. Partly because massive spoilers, partly for not wanting to influence opinions of those who haven't seen it.

Instead, I'm going to say that they need to hurry up and make the TNG reboot so they can give Tom Hardy the Role of Picard and fuck with everyone's head and piss off a lot of really fervent trekkies.

I really want to see this, but I haven't seen the Dark Knight. Would you be totally lost if you saw it without having seen that?

I have no idea what you were confused by, Zee. I thought everything was very well detailed.

It IS worth rewatching Batman Begins before seeing it though, there're a lot of interconnected plot points to both films.

it's not that i was confused. i think i understood a little too well, which made this movie frustrating to sit through.

batman being the 1% in an occupy wall street class war has a lot of implications that are pretty much dropped by the last half of the film and they REALLY NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED

also having to sit through the movie knowing who talia was while all this time is wasted to bring us this on an anti climactic reveal wow i was ~shocked~~~

the ending of bruce essentially hanging up the cape while JGL takes it up was just NO
THAT'S NOT
NO

bruce cant LIVE without the cape he's not a stable person

it was just such a shitty note to end on (not to mention alfred's entire speech hinting at the ending was taken from good will hunting nice one nolan)

and let's not get into the dumb plot holes like
- punching someone's vertebrae back into place does NOT cure them
- bruce falls from the pit twice how is his back not out of commission after that
- batman drops a nuclear bomb right into the river near the city soooo.... what does that mean for the water supply??
- not a plot hole but seriously BLAKE'S LEGAL NAME IS ROBIN ARE YOU SHITTING ME
LITERALLY ROBIN

NOT TIM OR DICK OR JASON SHIT I'D EVEN TAKE A TERRY SHOUT OUT

it's like nolan's saying HEY YOU FUCKING MORONS IT'S THAT GUY YOU WANTED TO SEE
