Why do you think that Que joined the official Clerith forum and even though Ryu's a hardcore Cloti supporter, we seem to be getting along really well. Bashing the other group is just immature, because it is possible to debate fairly without getting all douche like on the other side of the pairing-supporters.

Then why quote the Sakaguchi comment? Is it not valid to ask why this particular person involved with FFVII has some mythical status as the true Clerith on the creative team of FFVII?

If someone is trying to say that Clerith has any basis or that it is 'open to interpretation' or any other line some people peddle. Then you use as a source for that information someone like Sakaguchi. With absolutely nothing to back that assertion up. Then am I not supposed to call that out?
It is now bashing to ask for even the hint of proof that the source you are basing your argument on has any merit whatsoever?

I don't think anyone is really bashing Cleriths right now, just the arguments being made. They do it with Cloti argument all the time on CxA, is that bashing Clotis as well? Discussing why an argument is odd or strange isn't really bashing... And we're overwhelmed with Clotis here so yes, this topic is going to lean much more to the Cloti side

To be fair, the Clerith Forum isn't really any better. Lots of them bash Cloti fans all the time, and then wonder why we don't 'treat them with respect'. =/ And before anyone says "Well, that's a Clerith Forum this Forum should be accepting to all fans!" - when the fuck has TLS not been accepting to all fans? Rofl. The LTD thread just has more Cloti supporters in it, not that we don't accept other opinions that AREN'T Cloti. What's interesting though, is that no one in here is attacking anyone specifically, or anything like that. (Well, most of us) If a Clerith came in here wanting to discuss//debate, we'd listen. We wouldn't insult them without reason. (Though unfortunately some people's idea of a reason, actually is not.. a reason. ._.) Both parties are guilty of insults, but it's possible for them both to get along too. Some people just choose not to, and let a silly LTD get in the way. For example, the people treating Cloti and Clerith like they are separate RACES for Gods sake. Tsk. Well, I have to say that I'm glad that people like Mira,Winter, and Zee came here with their views and discussed with us sometimes. They're great people, and all three of them are Clerith. ;P It'd be nice to see more Clerith members join, and if they are intimidated by the LTD I don't see why they feel like they can't post in other parts of TLS. I know the Clerith Forum lurks around here, and uses the front page information. They're judging the entire TLS Forum based on a handful of people in one LTD thread. That really isn't fair at all. There's even a Clerith club on this site, that's doing just fine. I remember a good chunk of people on CxA Forums were insulted because of the title of the club! It's like... get over yourself.

Well, I can't prove authoritatively he doesn't want to bone Mukki, but I can point to where he loves Tifa before leaving for SOLDIER.
Note the modifier 'older.' Stressing a noun without its qualifier and using that to prove a point is a form of intellectual dishonesty.
Nearly as dishonest as Cloud claiming he doesn't remember what happened in that room with Mukki.

I just had an idea, what got everyone here into the LTD. Myself?... I just went into the LTD topic because it was the only topic I hadn't gone into and I was bored of this place otherwise 
. Man I had no idea what was going on in there. I used to think the LTD topics were just talking about the date mechanics and maybe posting fanart of CxT and CxA... I thought "How does this topic get so many views?"
I had NO idea that people out there thought Clerith was the intended couple. Then again I had no idea of half the Cloti stuff either so I was glad I found it so I could learn it really was canon

It's just horrible of them. Screw it, I'll become a Clack. Everybody knows that Cloud and Zack loved each other and they wanted sex with each other.

I never thought it was the intended couple as in "this is the RIGHT one", but I thought it was intended as a valid choice. The game allows you to have Cloud express affection for Aerith and avoid romancing Tifa. Nothing about the ending or story or Cloud's character growth gets screwed up by saying "he fell in love with Aerith", or "he loves Tifa platonically"; you aren't punished for getting the low affection scene with Tifa under the Highwind. Obviously the Compilation afterward chooses a run of the game where he kept his romantic feelings for Tifa and went through the high affection scene, but it's only natural that when you have a situation like VII, where the main character's relationships can be affected by the player like that, one run would have to be chosen and others discarded. And, frankly, it's better Cloud/Tifa was pursued rather than Cloud/Aerith; I imagine that would have made things awkward for writing Tifa into scenarios, and she's a good character. (Even though I preferred Aerith, I'm not sure I ever have gotten the low affection scene for Tifa.)
My first LTD was over on gamefaqs, before AC came out. I was just annoyed that some of the people took the stance that Cloud/Tifa was the only reasonable possibility and Cloud/Aerith was a stupid pairing. ...And I'm sure I annoyed some of the people arguing for Cloud/Aerith because I took exception to their arguments (one being that Cait Sith's fortunes had anything to do with anyone's compatibility). I came to this one because sometimes it seems like the only active discussion related to VII here.

Pre-Cloud becoming himself again, you could take the stance that he was falling for Aerith if you wanted. However the lifestream event is where Cloud's feelings are revealed, both current and past. Don't forget the low version of the highwind scene is about whether Tifa reveals hers. By that point we already know Cloud is still in love with her.

And yet, it's Cloud's lines that change first in that scene, and significantly. Tifa isn't the only one that changes in the low affection scene.

His line changes, his feelings don't. The scene is contingent on Tifa's affection for Cloud and only that. Imagine you have a massive crush on someone and they hint that they return those feelings. Conversation 1. You have a massive crush on someone that seems distant and doesn't return those feelings. Conversation 2. Does it mean you stopped crushing? No, it means you pussied out. Way to go, Cloud.
