4.06 Patch Notes out!
Quick and Dirty Version
Dragoon: Potency increases across the board (so long as you can hit your positionals). Heavy Thrust potency is increased from 100 to 140. Fang and Claw and Wheeling Thrust potencies are increased from 200 to 250. Chaos Thrust combo potency is increased from 220 to 230 but it's potency if hit from the rear out of combo was decreased from 150 to 140.
Ninja: Aeolian Edge combo potency is increased from 260 to 280 but it's potency if hit from the rear out of combo was decreased from 180 to 160.
TLDR: Fang and Claw, Wheeling Thrust, Chaos Thrust and Aeolian Edge do the same amount if hit from the rear in a combo chain as they currently do. You're just not punished as bad if you don't hit the positional so long as they're part of a combo chain. Doing them out of a combo chain with a correct positional gives less damage then it used to... which most people who know how the game works don't do anyway... So this is really just for the times you can't hit the positional...
Bard: Straight Shot's effect length was increased from 20 sec to 30 sec. Barage's CD was decreased from 90 sec to 80 sec. Mage's Ballad, Army's Paeon, and The Wanderer's Minuet were all given the Aetherflow treatment; the song effect will always happen even if the initial attack deals no damage.
Machinist: Hot Shot's effect length was increased from 30 sec to 60 sec. Dismantle's CD was decreased from 90 sec to 60 sec. Flamethrower increases the Heat Gauge twice as fast as it used to. The damage increase from an overheated Gauss Barrel was increased from 10% to 20%. It'll be interesting to see if the 20% damage increase manages to make up for the 10 sec Gauss Barrel lockout on overheat...
Summoner: Bio III and Miasma III DOT potency has been increased from 40 to 50. Functionally speaking, Bio and Miasma III get 10 ticks per cast, so it's really a potency increase from 400 to 500. It just takes 30 sec to get it all off.
Um... yey? I've just literally never seen anyone complain about Bio III and Miasma III needing a potency increase. For comparison's sake, Bio III now does more potency then Deathflare does (500 vs 440). Actually, if it's cast in DWT it now does 10 potency more damage then Ahk Morn (550 vs. 540). And Bio III and Miasma III were already 20% of Summoner's overall damage... now they're even more... so much for Summoner being a burst class...
Other Stuff
Ixion's horn drops were tripled. So it now takes two Gold FATEs to get the mount or three silver FATEs.
