Sense? What has sense got to do with it? Emotional interpretation. I'm all for that of course, if people want to see The Compilation that way, good on them. That's super. Hard, these days - easier when FF7 was by itself, but if that ups your rocket, rows your boat, skiffles your skittles, good stuff. What I think is unnecessary to go to great lengths to "prove" what really can't be proved - especially with the literature and new compilation material suggestion clearly to the contrary. But like everything in this thread, it's been said before and it will be said again. And would we have it any other way? I don't know.

I like sense... it's something the Clerii seem to lack.

Personal interpretation has no place in a real debate, but I think it's got some grounds when just discussing the scenes and trying to understand them better.

Ya, thanks for that post you did on FFF. Someone needed to say it but I didn't know how... XP

I don't know if I find it frustrating anymore. It's just so funny, and so easy now that I know a lot of the quotes that contradict their common arguments. I sit there laughing for a while, write their responses, still giggling, and then wonder what garbage they'll come up with next.

I guess I find it a little frustrating because I haven't actively followed a LTD since prior to AC's release. I mean, you'd think a topic would just die after there's been a a definite answer... but no. I guess this particular discussion will never end, no matter how blatant the creators are.

It happens in all fandoms. People will debate canon when it doesn't go along with "their view" of the specific work. Deep down they feel like their personal interpretation is inferior because it's not canon, and therefore must "prove" it at all costs.

Posting on their shoutbox is fun. They told me to 'go back to StrifeHeart'. It made me giggle.

Especially with the point that all the Zack/Aeris relationship in Crisis Core was supposedly "Cloti fan service."

The only fanservice I saw, was Tifa fanservice. To Cloud. The Ultimania did say she dressed sexy just for him. He was totally nosebleeding under that helmet. No wonder why he didn't want to take it off.

I agree. It was funny watching them butcher other games to prove the supposed Clerith presented in Dissidia. It was also funny to see them say "The only reason they said that was so the Cloti fans didn't throw their ps2's and break them". I'm glad SE is so concerned about my beliefs?

If there is to be any PS2 throwing, it will be due to the fact that my RE4 game keeps freezing. -cringes-

I don't see why they would 'throw bones' to fans of pairings that aren't canon. Maybe putting Aerith into FFT and KH was throwing bones to angry Nomura-bashing Aerith/C/A fans

Especially when people say that they even include hints at more 'alternative' couples like Tifa/Barret or Cloud/Sephiroth. I think that's looking too closely and seeing stuff that isn't there.

But now OWD is going to get me with her manliness.

I think wanting to be defined by what you hate just shows how desperate they are. Hatelistings of any kind weird me out. "Hating" Cloti so much you want your name on a list with others who feel the same... funny that Cloti don't "hate" the Clerith pairing so much. Perhaps cause those shippers don't feel threatened?

I'm sure it's mainly because they're bored, just like you lot, . Srsly, when people argue about which character would hump the other (while it would make a lot more sense if everyone just humped each other, 'triangle' for sure ), you know they have nothing better to do.

The difference between this and that, is that we are debating the canon, whereas they seem to be more preoccupied with who is "better" for Cloud. And yes, I do think there's a big difference.

Random thought: the only love triangle SE confirmed Aerith was involved in is Zack-Aerith-Tseng.

Tseng was very fond of Aerith (probably even in love with her), but her feelings towards him are obscure.
Here comes the statements from Ultimania Omega, that, if follow Clerii logics, prove that Aerith was in love with Tseng:

Seeing Tseng, who was cut down by Sephiroth and left on death's door, Aerith is unable to hide her shock. Though they're on opposing sides, he holds a special meaning to her.

and

When faced with Tseng's condition, Aerith steps behind a pillar to try hiding her tears.

So, Tseng is special for Aerith and she cried when he was injured. Conclusion: Aerith was in love with Tseng.
