I just want to see the (il)logical steps they take. From someone who has actually read CoT....not naming any names here.

These are so called reasons why Cloud and Tifa not can be in love.

Hmm, let's see. I actually think Cloud and Tifa have alot of more screen-time than Cloud and Aerith does.

Cloud and Tifa scenes:

1. They sleep together in the flowerbed.
2. Cloud is watching Tifa while she still is asleep.
3. They are talking for awhile in Denzel's and Marlene's room.

In ACC, Cloud saves Tifa from a falling building.

5. Cloud and Tifa are driving away on his bike.
6. Tifa graps Cloud's hand when he is about to defeat Bahamut.
7. Tifa gently smiles at Cloud from the Shera after he defeated Sephiroth, and he smiles back.
8. They smile at eachother in the ending.

Cloud and Aerith scenes:

1. Cloud and Aerith is standing in a flowerfeild.
2. Cloud tells Aerith "But.. I let you die." Then she says: "Dilly-dally-shilly-shally and etc."
3. Aerith graps Cloud's hand when he is about to defeat Bahamut.
3. Cloud smiles at both Aerith and Zack. (This, shouldn't count?)

Oh, and our proofs is.. some actual facts from the Ultimania, the game, novellas or what the creators have said themselfs.

But I still don't find it romantic.
Cloud gets depressed by Aerith(her death), not happy.
In the other hand Tifa, Denzel and Marlene makes him happy.
And I thought Cloud also was angsting about Zack's death?

Hey, I was just counting all the scenes they have together.
And Aerith wasn't between Cloud and Tifa, she was more watching over them I think.
But after Tifa graps Cloud's hand he is surrounded by that blue-light.

And yes, driving on a bike.. TOGETHER.
And on 7, yep. You probably did. In the Ultimania it says that Tifa gently smiles down at Cloud from the Shera.
And he smiles back. (Or maybe he was smiling at Aerith's rain!!!!!!!!11)

I think the argument is that Cloud and Tifa talk together WAAAY more than Cloud and Aerith do. Doesn't make every interaction romantic, but when it's argued that quantity matters more than quality, this sort of crap happens.

Because Aerith lives inside him.
