Quexinos, how can they feel embarrassed when the names are purposefully left out "to protect the innocent?" If they don't want their ideas to be discussed, debated, or summarily dissected, then they shouldn't post them on the WORLD WIDE WEB. There is no implied privacy to one's thoughts on a public forum viewable to anyone. These aren't social security numbers, or home addresses. These are their own skewed thoughts on the LT of FFVII which we're discussing since they won't discuss them themselves.
I'm writing an essay for the Cleriths to read which discusses why they get picked on and trolled so much. As for screencapping and what not. It's a moral issue I have. I know I should stop bringing it up, but... it's the moralness in me.
It's simple, they get picked on and trolled because they hold ridiculous beliefs which they refuse to discuss outside of their Pink Nazi sanctuary where they ban anyone who questions them. But since saying it in those words won't exactly go over well with them, you should probably just submit your version since I can't really be arsed to be polite over something as trivial as FFVII's LT
But yeah, I don't expect anyone to actually be convinced. But you never know, at least if they flame/ban you it'll generate lulz for us
If just one person reads it and takes my advice, it will have been worth it. There's a certain way you need to talk to these people and I think I know how.

All that would happen is that more drama would ensue, Quexinos would be banned, and they will summarily continue on their thoughts with a touch of "persecution complex" and thus nothing will be gained.
Only more bullshit will rise.
That just sounds like a really bad idea that's only going to start more shit. It's almost attention-whoring. You're not "The Magical LTD Ambassador Fairy to the Clerith forum" who will bring peace and understanding to FFVII fandom, Quexinos. Seriously.
I was GOING to post it at TNC... but since that doesn't... look like it might be opening. I'm not really sure.
Also, Mako I really do appreciate you trying to keep me from doing something stupid. That's really nice of you. I appreciate that your concerned enough about my feelings that you'd try to stop me from getting hurt or wasting my time. I truly appreciate it. But that's why I'm going to send it to a couple people first and see what they think. It will probably be all for nothing like you say, but if I die trying, hey, at least I tried.
People said my saveonepiece.com site was bogus and would never get anywhere. I received a LOT of resistance about it from OP fans. But... I got a lot of emails from people saying, "Wow thanks, I didn't know about this!" and so on and that made it worth it.
Of course I'm NOT taking credit for Funimation picking the series up but that sure as hell was icing on the cake
I'm pretty sure it had something to do with it, since seeing a fan demand for such a product probably allayed the fears of there not being an audience for such a change in the series.
Well that's nice that you say that I think 4Kids just sorta gave it up because they weren't making money. None of the merchandise was selling except the DVDs and they weren't selling THAT much. We may never know exactly what happened but those uncut DVDs are coming out uber fast now and I couldn't be a happier OP fan ^__^
4Kids ALMOST lost Yu-Gi-Oh but at least they're uploading uncut episodes to their channel on youtube.
Also I just received some news from Ana. She assures me that TNC will re open and the new admin is working things out, adding new rules and some other stuff. So... I guess we'll have to see. I don't think she'd lie to me.
I'd suspect that these new rules would limit the amount of debating people can do there, as the C/A regarded that as an issue although it was a public forum, and there was a separate section for specific arguments between two people. And even if it did open, I don't believe it'd be open for very long, as there still wouldn't be many C/A there to debate with anyways, or that it would just die if the rules become strict.
@Quix: The more extreme members of the CxA forums (I emphasize not all) exhibit borderline cultish behavior, imo. They won't allow dissent over "Clerith ideals," they distrust people on the "outside," etc. You won't have a lot of luck writing an essay asking them to look inward. You'll just get kicked out too.

I disagree. All Fanon pairings I've come across have this problem. In general Clotis are willing to acknowledge that Clerith (or most any other... CLACK, baby!) is a lovely pairing--if not their pairing of choice--and listen to reasons why. If those said reasons aren't touted as canon or completely bastardized that they aren't recognizable as compilation.
This thread is a rough one on the premis that it's less about which pairing is "better" and more about the compilation narrative and what it CLEARLY shows. But you'll see many Clotis in the Clerith "fan club". Trufax.
To be perfectly honest, even I don't know why I'm doing this. I mean I'm a troll... so I shouldn't be stopping other trolls. I'm also a hypocrite because I screencap stuff for ED sometimes. I shouldn't be telling you guys not to screencap their stuff, I shouldn't even care. Hell if I was my forum, I'd encourage it XD I'd probably be screencapping and posting shit myself.
The problem I got myself into was I made some friends over there and... as lame and totally stupid as this sounds, I don't like to see my friends get hurt and some of them are getting trampled on. If I think I can stop it, I'm going to try. If it doesn't work, at least I tried
/end totally lame and stupid part of post
STORY TIEM
Here's a clip from the essay:
I too was part of a group at one point that was heavily targeted by trolls and various forms of assholes. What brought me to my senses was a rather harsh and nasty PM one of them sent to me that basically said, “Stop acting like a twat!” At first I was very offended and hurt by his PM, and my first thought was to report him to a moderator. Then I read through it again and I realized how absolutely correct he was. Then I felt shameful for a while, but I pulled myself out of it and became the Quexinos I am today. I am by no means saying any of you are twats, but I do know what it’s like to be targeted.
I'm actually eternally grateful for this person pointing my behavior out to me because I realized that he was completely right, and I was able to make peace with those who were bothering me.
So:
Q. Do you really think this will help?
A. No, I don't. I expect the majority of them to react very negatively toward me and it'll probably cause a shit storm. They'll probably ban me, remove me as an affiliate and talk shit about me behind my back for many o years to come.
yay drama
Q. Then why bother?
A. Two reasons. One is if I can help reach even one of them, it'll be worth it. Two, I need to get some things off my chest and writing is one way for me to do that.
Q. Are you actually going to post it?
A. You know and I might not. It depends what the final product is like.
Q. Why do you insist on trying to make peace between Clotis and Cleriths and god modding?
A. Too much time on my hands?
I honestly don't have an answer for this. I don't know why I do what I do. I react based on my emotions at the time and at the time this seemed like a good idea. Maybe next week it won't, we'll see.
So all in all, I might not even go through with it, but I want to at least write the essay to let it all out. Besides isn't it better than me sitting in here constantly complaining about how OMG MEEEN u guys are
