Unless you'd rather him be doing the stripping...We've seen female spies go undercover as strippers in movies for the sake of fanservice, right?

Sorry.

(I imagine him being the kind of guy grade girls would want around to keep the creepers away).
.

Now I'm just getting this idea that poor Nunchaku ends up friend-zoned a lot, or even gay guy friend zoned despite being into girls. I seem as being very sweet, and a bit feminine, so he gets over looked as a potential interest and sometimes seems more like group pet.

He doesn't mind because he's there for the fun.

I see
as someone who was very sheltered. He's from rich parents and wants to "to stand up for himself, to discover life on his own terms". Which to me sounds like someone very sheltered who's spent most of his life doing what his parents wanted him to. Happily so, he loves his parents, but...he's just no so much with the life experiences.

So I see him as being very green at the whole bar scene. He's from a small town, seriously, the fossils outnumber the population. He likes social things, probably knows ball room dancing, but he might never have been to a club until one of the Turks dragged him there. (Although he'd be more than up for going out).

I think he'd make a great raver. Because A) He'd look good covered in brightly colored clothing and can you imagine what he'd do with a pair of glow sticks. Glow stick nunchucks! I also see him as loving excitement, crowds, and anything shiny. So lots of lights, music and people would be awesome.

I've always imagined Rod and Two-Guns would love it, mainly based on their backgrounds, and I fancy Nunchaku would be the type to go along with anything (I imagine him being the kind of guy grade girls would want around to keep the creepers away).

I agree that Nunchaku would go along with anything.

If this were an anime he'd be the one to say "You invited me" as his eyes got all giant. But yeah, I see him easily pleased at the prospect of fun.

With Rod and Two-Guns, it's important to remember they actually have very different back grounds. Both were in gangs, but different types.

Two-Guns was born and raised in the slums, and worked for organized crime. Rod, was a plate kid who fell in with a bike gang. Likely based on Bosozoku . Rod was a well off plate kid looking for a thrill, filled with a sense of teenage invulnerability. "I'll still a bike right out of the Shinra building, let's see them try to catch me" That didn't work out so well for him, aside from getting a chance to join the Turks. Two-Guns, on the other hand, probably turned to crime as a method of survival.

They're both Midgar boys, but they're from different worlds, and it's interesting to think about how the Plate side gangs interact with the big time crime bosses of the slums. Here's an interesting article about as into anything exciting, so I could also see him in the Rave scene, but I also think he likes the class being a Turk gives him. So maybe going for nice plate bars and expensive scotch. Wearing his uniform like "oh yeah, I look good". He's a laid back guy, not one for formality, but he has high aspirations and I could see him liking high class things.[/spoiler]

I see as willing to go dive bars. He's set in his ways, and it took him some time to get used to how things worked in the Turks. Having to work with others and follow orders to the letter. On his time off, I could see him falling into old habits, and he probably knows the best places to party in Wall Market. I could see Rod and Nunchaku tagging along with him.

But I guess I sort of see Two-Guns like Bobbie sees Reno. Dark corners, plenty of liquor and not too much noise.

on the other hand I can see as the club type. He likes attention. I see him as a slum kid, so he's at home in the scene. Raves are fun. I see him as having tried a little of everything, including drugs and drink and all the places you find that kind of thing.

I'm also imagining Raves in the Dead Zone outside Midgar.

, I see as not really up for much fun. She was raised to be a Turk. She only does thing if it there's a business purpose. She'll tag along to make sure the younger members don't get in trouble and to hone her skills at manipulating others. She never pays for her drinks, but most often goes for non-alcoholic mixed drinks.

has a grim outlook on life from dark experiences growing up, but a cheerful personality despite that. I could see her liking to have fun and go out with everyone else. She knows she can take care of herself, so bring on whatever the boys are up for.

I see Knives and Nunchaku as being buddies and could see them bar hopping together. Nunchaku insisting on colorful drinks.

I think
would prefer a night in with a nice cup of tea and a book. If he does go out it's with people and he prefers a place where it's quiet enough for conversation or interaction. Billards and cards would fit my idea of that. However, he'll go to the club with the guys and I see Reno dragging him along.

Reno: You have to come, yo. You can be my wing man
Rude: You don't need a wing man
Reno: All right, then I can be your wing man. It's settled, come on

Along this line of discussion, what drink do you think the Turks would favor?

Cissnei: Blood Mary Salt on the Rim
Reno: Sake Bombs or Mojitos
Rude: Designated Sober person/ wine or beer
Rod: Scotch on the Rocks
Knives: Daiquiri
Nunchaku: Mudslide or anything sweet
Two-Guns: Rum and Cola
Rosalind: Beer
Elena: Beer
Rufus Shinra: White Russian (likes the taste) or Martini (hates the taste, but that's not the point)

Okay so Kassi And I were speaking about Reno and Rude and how we would get their attention. I just had to post a comment and lovely image for me that made laugh out loud for real.

[11:49:42 PM] Kassi Hartman:And of course I'd defend you to the death and if my Turk was being overly suspicious of you I'd smack him around a bit

[11:49:42 PM] Kassi Hartman: Grab his hair
[11:49:44 PM] Kassi Hartman: :D
[11:49:57 PM] Jess (Soak): he might like that ;)
[11:50:10 PM] Kassi Hartman: By the time I'm done with him he will...
[11:50:15 PM] Jess (Soak): I can't grab Rude's hair for you :(
[11:50:33 PM] Kassi Hartman: Nah, you'd have a much more subtle touch to make him come crawling on his hands and knees to you
[11:50:49 PM] Kassi Hartman: I can't imagine Reno doing that, but oh hell, I can imagine Rude doing that totally naked for you
[11:51:11 PM] Kassi Hartman: Prince-Albert-adorned man meat swinging between his well-muscled thighs as he crawls
[11:51:19 PM] Kassi Hartman: Still wearing sunglasses
[11:51:42 PM] Kassi Hartman: But nothing else
[11:52:12 PM] Kassi Hartman: "Whatever you say, baby."

That's the kind of conversation I need more of in my life!

Love that Elena pic - and Two Guns (Having a bit of a Two Guns moment at present). Thank you :D

I agree that Two Guns and Reno would both prefer dives in the slums to the partay in general, but I bet they can both dance. All Turks can dance - it's in the entry requirements. Even our Vinny can dance. He just chooses not to.

I haven't found many new pictures recently, but I like this one:

I wish I had some things to share. I haven't really gotten the knack for finding art yet. Love those pictures. Especially Morello's Reno. That is sexy. I love his butt.

So all the Turks can dance? It's hard for me to imagine Gun Female letting her hair down (she keeps her hair so short specifically so she can't ever let it down - I'm sure Elena said this at some point). Then what about Veld. Did he and Vincent party when they were younger.

I have this imagine in my head of Vincent and Veld sitting in a bar discussing life pre-Advent Children. (Where was Vincent pre Advent Children? Is he in one of the On The Way to a Smile Novellas?)

Anyway...so, Morello, you're having a bit of a Two Guns moment? I've been having a Nunchaku moment since last weekend. (If I could draw, I'd draw so much fan art).

So forgive me while I go on a
. Does anyone have any theories about how Nunchaku managed to get into the Turks. I wrote a ficabout how he joined the Turks, and I'm still not sure why Veld would let him in.

In BC most of the Turks come from difficult back grounds or high skilled careers. You have street kids, convicts with no way out except the Turks, gang leaders who got caught by the Turks, former mob body guard, mercenary, Private I, and a girl raised to be a Turk in what I think was probably some sort of social experiment. I don't think think the majority of the Turks applied for the job and a lot of them didn't have much choice. Even Shotgun, who unlike the others isn't from desperate circumstances and could have easily gotten by without becoming a Turk, was scouted. (Which means she must have been fairly remarkable to get their attention, as in greatest monster hunter who ever lived). The only Turk who probably applied, other than Nunchaku, was Gun (Female) and she applied straight out of the Military Academy which still makes her a likely candidate.

How the heck did Nunchaku get in? Nothing about him seems very Turk-like. According to Gun Shot romance his bio is

Player J was born in Bone Village, the pampered son of a wealthy household. All his life, his every whim was answered, his every wish granted. It was a safe, sheltered life Player J lead ¨and it wasn't enough. One day he decided that he wanted to stand up for himself, to discover life on his own terms ¨and so he joined the Turks, which he had admired for a long time.

So he decided to join the Turks. How did he go about that, and why would Veld let him in. Nothing about him seems particularly promising. He seems interested in joining the Turks for his own sake, rather than what he has to give. As if joining the Turks is deciding to attend a leadership camp or a foreign exchange program.

In Death is Part of the Process, Licoriceallsorts rewrote the backstories of Nunchaku and Shotgun because it didn't fit the story she wanted to tell. I think her version seems more realistic than canon, especially in Nunchaku's case. (Shotgun I could see taking, talent talks).

My only thought is Veld was so annoyed at getting Nunchaku's resume that he decided to teach the little brat a lesson. Nunchaku wasted his time with a resume, so Veld was doing to waste his time by bringing him all the way down to Midgar and letting him "train". His thought: bring that the kid would run home crying his first day. Let the little socialite get the beaten to a bloody pulp in "training" and then see he thinks joining the Turks would be so glamourous.

The only down side to this theory is that doing this would mean wasting a lot of time and energy just to prove a point and teach one kid a lesson. Maybe if Veld had reason to punish Reno for something he could do so by assigning him to 'see to the new recruit'. (It's worse than desk work, desk work at least has to be done, this is literally Veld wasting Reno time).

Under this theory then, Nunchaku would survive the hazing, cheerfully, exceed all expectations and become well liked by his colleagues, to the point that Veld decides they might as well keep him. Perhaps Nuchaku shows that he wants this just as badly as any recruit, which breeds the same sort of loyalty that Veld would want.

I'm not sure how IC this all sounds, because it would be a bit mean spirited/irresponsible to bring in a candidate just to haze them. However, it's hard for me to believe that Veld would seriously consider Nunchaku.

I guess what I love about Nunchaku is that he's so unlikely. Not just his background, but his personality. He's so cheerful and optimistic, finding reasons to be happy even in dire situations. Like in the game in rescue mode

You tell him to keep his voice down he actually says, "Oh, I'm sorry! It's just that I was so happy to see you!"

He seems very huggable. Also, on a more shallow note, I think he's the prettiest Turk ever.

Does anyone else have favoriate BC Turks? I mean, I also like Knives. I'm starting to lean towards pairing her with Nunchaku. Then post game they get married and settle down in Bone Village where Nunchaku becomes even wealthier due to the discovery of oil on his family's land. Because my head canon wants ridiculously happy endings.

Also, if anyone has Nunchaku fanart to share, please do.

It's hard for me to have a favorite BC Turk since we only get a vague description of their backgrounds and I don't really know how their personalities are since I haven't played the game. If I had to choose it would probably be between Rod and Two Guns. Rod because I love motorcycles and he loves them too, I also like his guts for breaking into Shinra and attempting to steal a motorcycle, and he was a leader of a gang, which is just hot to me for some reason. Two guns because he has such cool hair! I love his Reno like style with the way he wears his suit, and shooting two guns with great accuracy is an awesome skill. I also like the Legend Turk. He just looks cool and like someone I would want to hang out with and talk to. He seems like he would have some interesting things to say. I see us getting along famously. And you know, he's badass.

Rod is definitely appealing. There's a whole mystique to the gang leader thing and rebel attitude. Also, his hair would be fun to run your hands through. (I've nicked name my friend Danny Fluffy, and enjoy petting him because he's got that spiky hair...I'm weird).

Two Guns isn't as appealing for me, because he seems kind of scary with the whole underworld back ground and gangsta look. He seems like someone I wouldn't want to meet in a dark ally.

The Legendary Turk does seem pretty Badass, I imagine him in like one of the Dos Equis commercials. He is the most legendary Turk on the Planet...

That's why I like him! The fictional men I like tend to be the opposite of the kinds of guy I'd go for in real life.

There seems to be very little fan art of Nunchaku about. Here are a few I found. I know the Crimson Sun ones have been posted before, but they're so good I'm adding them again.

Thanks! I love that one by Crimson Sun, the background details are great. I love the Reno and Knives one. It's ironic but it reminds me of some of the shots I got with my Knives and Reno cosplayer. I love her expression in that picture too.

Hmm, the fictional men I go for tend to be the same type physically. I like pretty boys IRL or fictional.

I've never thought about this, it's very interesting! I think I'm like you, as in I sort of like the same type of guys. It's kinda chicken and the egg though, because I think I like fictional guys who reminds me of my bf. But then again, before I met my bf I did have a thing for the same type. Which is tall, big boned guys who are good guys at heart and who have a peculiar sense of humor. The ff guys I find the hottest are Angeal and Zack, and I would have found Noel Kreiss from xiii-2 hawt if he only were a little older (and a little taller?) Also, because of Soak I've started paying more attention to Rude, and he's definitely fit for the category - though I always find it hard putting a Turk in the "good guys at heart" category. In my head canon, Turks are capable of breaking ethic principles to please their employer, and also they must be somewhat calloused to be able to do the dirty work.

But yeah, this is a fun thing to think about. Physically, the ff guy who looks the most like my bf is Charlie/Legend. But their personalities are different.

I think I’ve always been interested in the same type. Orlando Blood was my first crush. I like skinny, beautiful, almost feminine boys, never anyone too big or masculine. I mean, I liked Angel, on Buffy and he was certainly toned, but still a bit pretty. I’ve dated some of the big boned muscular types in high school, like one BF was a hockey player, but I was never that attracted to him physically. Physically it’s always been slim and pretty.

Honestly, my husband in many ways is my ideal. There are times I still just stare at him because he’s so beautiful. It was funny actually, one time a friend and I were looking through cosplay pictures from a con that had been tagged on facebook. It was a picture of my husband as Tseng posing with a gun with a very serious look on his face.

Friend: He looks frightening.
Me: He looks beautiful.

I just couldn’t get over how gorgeous he always looks (especially with make up on).

Of course, other details of what I find attractive may vary. I like dark haired guys, I like dark eyes, honestly there are so many shades of brown, but then blue and green eyes are pretty too. I like blondes, too. I think most of all I like dark haired with light eyes, or light hair with dark eyes, just the contrast. When I met my GF she had blonde hair and these huge hazel brown eyes, and I just loved them and the contrast between light and dark. But over all, my main thing is the same type of guy (and I’m more into guys than girls, with girls it’s generally the same type, androgynous and pretty).

Personality wise, IRL I need someone who will let me take the lead and be in charge, or at least not mind that I’ll try to naturally. Someone who understands that if I sound like I’m giving orders I’m not trying to be bossy so much as it’s just my personality. (I’m willing to take no for an answer, and love feedback, but I’m very all right, let’s go, I’m going to delegate tasks to make things work sometimes without pausing to check if that’s ok with everyone else).

My husband and I are perhaps partners. He has sort of a leader personality himself, he’ll step up and he’s willing to advise, but he prefers to leave it to someone else, he’s willing to let me make plans. So we work together, a team, a support structure. My husband likes having someone to serve and protect, he’s devoted, honestly when we met he was basically assigned to look after me and he fell in love with me. For my part, I like helping others, guiding them, and I’ve been there to support him.

In terms of fiction, what I’m attracted to in personality basically comes down to power. Sure, I like the sweet guys too, like I love Nunchaku and Zack (OMG get those two in a room), but I like Rufus, and Loki. Assertiveness is definitely attractive.

Although I’m not sure if it’s really a disconnect between what I like in fiction versus reality. My friend Autumn has a very aggressive/assertive/somewhat scary personality, and I find that attractive. I don’t find her physically attractive (she’s way too womanly) and I wouldn’t want to date her (we’d clash). However, I find her personality very attractive, I wouldn’t go for her because she’s my best friend’s ex-girlfriend and he’s practically my brother so no…but I do find that aspect of her attractive. That’s also part of what draws me to my husband, he has that thing about him, that sort of power/aggressiveness. A lot of people think he’s a bit scary, just the way he holds himself, but for me that’s appealing.

Everyone loves Nunchaku, even the cat.

So yes, this is my attempt at cosplaying a Turk. It's a test run to see if I could do it with my own hair (seriously, I spent like thirty minutes looking at wigs before remembering that I am blonde and could use my own hair). I need to make proper Nunchaku Props for him and get a suit. These test shots are just me in my husband's clothes with a spare set of nunchucks my husband had lying around.

I love seeing some Nunchuck love! You can really pull him off, Cam. You've got the eyes (and the hair!). And I love the fact that you live in the kind of house where 'spare' nunchuks are just lying around. I bet a real Turks house would look a lot like yours.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN
Love the cosplay, it really works because Nunchaku has soft features. My faves are the third and fourth pics :monster:

Also jealous because you look good in a suit. :( I always wanted to cross-dress and wear one.. but because I'm so petite I'm pretty sure it wouldn't look good on me. I'd look like a prepubescent boy trying hard to look like a man.

If I had the chance to wear one though, I'd really like to do an Elena since we have the same hair now (almost). But then again it'd most likely fail because I'm not blonde and I'm azn. *weeps*

Thank you! I guess my favoriate would be the first one, just because I love the lighting and the color of the sky in the background. Although I guess the fourth one shoes more personality.

I personally hope my cat never grows into his ears.

Thank you! I'm glad you think so!

Speaking of Turk houses, I know I've said most of this before on the GA, but in case anyone hear's interested.

So my
The first time I visited my friend Lee's home I stayed the night (I was up in Phoenix to take care of something and needed a place to stay). He insisted on giving me his bed while he took the couch. Right beside his bed there hung his two gun holster, his baton holster, and his goggles. I couldn't help but think that this is what Reno's room would look like. He also had a sword and set of of throwing knives in the room.

As for my house, my husband collects swords, so we have an awful lot of weapons. Although I feel that my house is most like a Turk's house when I have a party. I've instituted a policy at my house that upon entering all guests remove their shoes and disarm. We generally set a table aside for weapons. Everyone of my friends is generally armed.

Like seriously, my Legendary Turk cosplayer used to be my housemate. I decided to go for a walk once, at night, and I didn't feel comfortable going alone, even with Dark Nation, because it was fairly late. So I asked if he'd come along. He goes and grabs a telescoping baton, holsters it, and then opens the door for us to go. He spent most of the walk shadowing me, I'm sure to on lookers it might have looked a bit like he was stalking me rather watching me.

So yeah, for some reason most of my friends carry something, so there's generally just a pile of weapons on the table.

My friend Zechariah, who's also my Two-Guns cosplayer, is almost comical two watch disarm, he has so many knives, including a dagger sized one hidden in his boot. (Please don't get the wrong idea, he's quite the gentleman and not at all a violent person, but he's from the bad side of town and when he was a teenager his abusive father kicked him out of the house sometimes. So he had to sleep over night in the park, in the slums, so he sort of likes being armed.)

Also, it's legal in Arizona to carry weapons, so none of the behavior is as out there as it would be in some countries/places

Love the cosplay, it really works because Nunchaku has soft features. My faves are the third and fourth pics :monster:

Thank you! Honestly, though, anyone can look good in a suit, it's just a matter of finding a suit that fits. The first time I wore a suit it was in High School, I was on a Speech and Debate team that required everyone to wear a black suit. I thought I wouldn't be able to find anything that would work for me because I have such an hour glass figure (really women's clothing is a nightmare for me). However, I did eventually find something extremely flattering.

As for
, I find guys clothing is generally more comfortable and easier to find something that fits. The only issue is finding something small enough. I lucked out with my first Rufus suit jacket because it was small and on sale because it was so small (and the last one in the store). However, I've sense been able to find another one that fits. Slim cut suites are in, and the thing with suites is the shoulders will give you a more manly shape.

The only trick then is finding a store that will treat you nicely despite the fact you're cross dressing. The first time I cosplayed Rufus I tried men's warehouse and they were very rude. I said I wanted a white suite, they looked at me like I was crazy and told me this is a men's store. They acted like I was wasting their time. I've never been back, and when I got married I made sure my wedding party didn't go there. However, I've sense had some better experiences. Just a couple months ago I went to San Francisco Rag in the mall and found another white suite that I fell in love with. The people there were very nice, and went out of their way to help me and didn't care that I plane to wear a men's suit. There attitude was how can we tailer this to fit you.

Oh also, most suit stores will tailer suites to fit. The main issue you'll run into with men's clothes is the pants are too long or the sleeves, but that's an easy fix. Also, some men's pants are adjustable around the waist, so you can get them to fit.

Honestly, I felt the same way when I first started cross playing. Especially with how my face is shaped, my eyes are huge and I'm over all very feminine. So I felt, and to some extent still feel, that even if I manage to pass as male I'd only be able to pass as a boy. (I have a comment on one of my sexier Rufus cosplays that says, I'm 22 the character is over 18, just because I was so worried about looking like the jail bate). However, the good news is that a lot of male characters in video games and anime are pretty. So give I'd say give it a try and see how you look.

If you do Elena, the cross dressing thing isn't a problem and you'll probably be able to find a woman's suit in your size. I recommend getting a wig for cosplay. The only reason I don't use a wig for Rufus is because it's hard to get wigs that short and with him it's simple to use my own hair. (I was honestly worried as to if I could pull off Nunchaku with my own hair.). And when it comes to cosplay race doesn't matter. As you might imagine since cosplay is a Japanese thing, there are a lot of asian cosplayers. (Also Before Crisis seems to be huge in Singapore, most BC cosplayers I've seen are from Singapore).

If you want to do something, do it, I'm sure you'll good.

Also, check out these people. They're all Asian, and none of them are doing characters with their natural hair color.

The Reno looks amazing, and the Elena is pretty good. (I don't know what they were thinking with the Tseng wig. I think there's a point you have to balance between how something looks in game graphics and what looks good IRL).

As always, Cam, I love your stories... they're so full of delicious evocative detail. And weapons. And Turk-ness.

I'm pretending this is relevant to Turk-love because it involves Shinra and drinking:

The Drunken Moogle has a lot of FFVII-related drinks: http://thedrunkenmoogle.com/tagged/final-fantasy-vii -- even a LOVELESS. But no drinks named after Turks or Shinra employees! What a pity...

(If one can make a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster, the effect of which is supposed to be like having your brains smashed out with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick, surely there could be a 'Scarlet' that feels like being bitchslapped.)

That tumbler is so wonderful. I can easily imagine President Shinra serving his finest malt whiskey to his business associates in glasses like that. They'd be standard issue anywhere the President travels: on the ships, in the Highwind, at the villa in Costa del Sol....

[Speaking of Costa del Sol, I was replaying the game yesterday and for the first time I noticed that if, while Tifa is talking to Johnny, Cloud checks in at the inn, Aerith will be lying on the bed at the inn jiggling her foot, apparently waiting for him.]

Oh my Holy, I love that article! Your brain + Yop's = instant win!

Nice catch on Costa del Sol! I love that this game still has hidden details to be discovered twenty-five years later with different configurations of characters and going back to places at certain times in the game.

I'm pretending this is relevant to Turk-love because it involves Shinra and drinking:

Just bought 2, one for myself even though I don't drink often, and one for Lee. (I've been trying to think of something to give him as a birthday gift). Thanks for the link.

LOL, Lic! I have intense enthusiasm for things that make me happy, like your brain, this thread, Turks, moar Turks... ;)

Like this. I'm now deliriously happy with the mental picture of Reno and Nunchuk doing shots of something brown and paint-peeling from Shinra shot glasses. :D :D :D

And then Nunchaku would choke. I don't know why but I picture him as a light weight who likes very girly drinks. I could so see him with a Cosmo in his hand. (Personally, I'm a light weight and my husband will get more use out of the shot glass, he likes vodka. Lee like rum. I like champagne and this is why my nickname is princess).

Although maybe Nunchaku would like champagne since he's a rich boy. I actually have this head canon idea that he really loves caviar (which I don't get because I don't find it appealing at all, it tastes like ocean, well maybe as a garnish, I once had this cream of white asparagus soup with caviar and the flavors balanced well...anyway tangent). But yeah, my head canon is he just snacks on really expensive caviar while at his desk.

Also at one point someone else ate an entire tin of it on a sandwich (possibly mixed with peanut butter) and then Nunchaku was very disappointed. The person who took it offered to buy him more, and then blanched when Nunchaku told them the price. Nunchaku then assured them it was fine, he'd just buy more and offered to get them some too if they liked it. (If these weird plot bunnies keep up I'm going to write more Nunchaku drabbles)

Anyway, think my group still see me more as Rufus than Nunchaku. In fact, when I mentioned doing Nunchaku...well I'll just share the conversation since Kassi seems to find these anecdotes amusing. I'll use the names of the characters they cosplay to denote who's talking.

We were discussing the
Two Guns: We need to do more with the group, like more photo shoots? Who do we have still, do we need a new Cissnei.

Me: No, Autumn is still up for being Cissnei, I asked her about cospaying with me when I do Nunchaku and she seemed up for it. We just might have to not have her and Reno in the same place at the same time. Which is doable, because I'm not sure when Lee will be confident enough to cosplay again.

Katana: You're doing Nunchaku? But you're our Rufus.

Me: I can do both, we'll just have do the shots on separate days. So yeah, we have a Cissnei, Rod, Tseng, Elena, we need Gun, Martial Arts Male and Female...

Katana: What about Knives? Is she still in.

Me: No

Two Guns: No way, not after what happened with Reno

Katana: What happened?

Me: He saw her as a little sister, wanted to be her friend and look after her. She fell in love with him, then they ended up sleeping next to each other and sleep cuddling and there was this sort of will they or won't they, but he decided he couldn't do it because his heart was too broken to be with anyone and it wouldn't be fair. He really just saw her as a kid and didn't want to hurt her.

Two Guns: She got so hurt she quit talking to most of us and has given up the character forever

Me: Yeah, I don't know if she'd be in any group that he's in, which is sad because they were good as friends. He and Autumn were also really good as partners on things before...sometimes it seems like sex and love just make things complicated. This group would be a lot more stable if no one pursued anyone else in the group.

Katana: You're with Tseng and now Elena

Me: Executive privilege, also, people are of course welcome to be with whoever they want to but the side effect is we end up as less like a functional cosplay group and more like dramatic fanfic

Two Guns: Except Katana and I. We're more like a sit com. Two and Half Turks, you can be the half because Rufus is sort of like a Turk. It'll be comedy gold.

Oh and I actually do have something of merit to add to this thread. I was at Yaoi Con last weekend (I have some amusing video of a Reno and Rude cosplayer, both male, the Reno was especially gorgeous, he's a dancer and sold for $800 at the Bishi Auction-it's a buy a date charity thing to raise money for the con-but they were giving fanservice to the girls at the con and Rude came up behind my blushing friend and put his arms around her, while Renos at on her lap and then Rude proceeded to stroke Reno's face as she blushed even more watching this. Yaoi con = yaoi fanfiction fantasies live and up close).

While at the con I commissioned a couple of artists.

I'll be mailing this out to her tomorrow. (Oh and Lic, I'd get you gifts as well but I don't have your address and was scared to ask because I thought it might be weird. Then now I feel bad because I've never gotten you anything).

Then I commissioned this for my own collection
