The Pros of Final Fantasy X-2

Pros of FFX-2:

The gameplay was the shit.

Concerning the Dresspheres, my favourites were the special dresspheres each character got.

X-2 has to be my favourite game, ever, of all time. More so than Pokemon and more so than VII even.

I loved many things about X-2. The percentage aspect of it. You could finish the game in under 10 iirc by just playing the game by its skeleton. But you also have the option to play the game 100% to get perfect endings and to understand the whole plot of it.

X-2 isn't without its storyline and this is what I hate most about hates. 'X-2 is just a game with girls clad in bikinis, there's no substance to it!'

wtf yes there is. There's power abuse in a corrupt world, there's body snatching, an 'alternate world', ghosts and the chasing of ghosts, previously hot women giving birth to bastard gingers. There's A LOT going on in X-2, it's just up to the player for once, to play it for what it is. It's the most non-linear game thus far. I kinda didn't like it for it's non-linearity, but I like knowing what to do.. so I bought the guidebook.

X-2 has some of the best music to date because it's chock full of romantic themes and poppy tunes. And who says a poppy tune has to be bad? The two main themes of X-2, Real Emotion and 1000 Words are probably my fav anime songs ever. And if you listen/read to the words of Real Emotion, you learn that it's actually a heart felt song directed towards Tidus/Shuyin. You just completely miss the message of the song because of Yuna nowait LeBlanc stripping and singing with back up dancers.

I think X-2 has the most save spots on my memory card so I can replay/watch my favourite cut scenes. Mm. <3

Do you realize how THRILLED I would be if I could write college theses on video games? Damn that would be awesome. A whole lot easier too.

Speaking of 1000 Words, I liked the Yuna-Lenne Concert more than The Spring in X.

I loved X-2 for so many reasons XD

The battle system was brilliant I personally felt that it was great to have it do fast paced and flexible styles.

Sure there were no limit breaks or summons available but who needs them when you've got such great range of abilities and spheres at your disposal.

I loved the idea of garment grids having different effects based on how it was utilized.

New game plus...need I say anymore.

The mission system was great and the fact you could choose to do others as well as the compulsary was a fun spin on things for deciding if you wanted to just play through the main story or explore it more intricately.

All female cast, yeah I know there's a couple of other FFs with prominent female protagonists but sometimes FF seems like male overload, so having a completely female team is kinda refreshing.

The fact you're only using three characters means you can evenly build on them instead of constantly switching between many to try and give them all equal stats.

I thought the game play was good, but it's been so long since I played it I don't remember much now. So I don't have much to add

Anyways, I could see myself being a practitioner of the Nanto Seiken and thus I wouldn't have to worry about those damn pressure points.

I could see myself as Yuda, but I've got problems.

Rikku's and Paine's themes didn't really fit them at all imo. I wonder why they were even considered themes. =/
Yuna's theme was nice though.

I have to say, I liked FFX-2. YAR I DID.
Being in Spira again was almost like...coming home.

Rikku's Theme fit how she was in X-2. Which is to say she was more...energetic? Yehh, let's say that.

Paine's Theme was totally out of place though, you're right.

I happen to like X-2 for the most part. It was just good girly lighthearted fun. And the battle system was simply awesome.

Yeah, they actually did talk about getting married. Several times in the game. Lulu and Wakka were wed.

The music is beautiful and awesome.
I just love the whole game, even if FFX's storyline was better.

I liked being able to change job classes in the heat of battle, and the different garment grids that could grant you in-battle stats or abilities was good too.

Yes. It is mentioned IN THE GAME ITSELF that Wakka and Lulu got married.

FFX kind of hinted at a romance between them, but didn't go too far into it. I remember reading an interview somewhere where I think it was Kitase who said that they had originally wanted to develop their relationship during FFX so that the players could have one happy couple that stayed together to offset the ZOMGTRAGEDY that was Tidus and Yuna's relationship. But I guess they didn't have room, or the things they didn't want to do didn't fit right anywhere, so they did what they could and decided to cement it in X-2.

And as much of a Tuna shipper as I am, and as much as I do like the good ending as a stand alone scene, I think that it would make far more sense story wise for Tidus to not have come back. *is shot*

Ending was really good, just need a new story now for X-3, you know bring Auron back from the Afterworld and what not, and have the game come back to fight something more evil, X was a good game. X-2, was okay, but not really my cup of tea :3
