I just watched season one again with my parents (who were seeing it for the first time). I actually think this is my favourite tv show ever, considering that was my 5th time watching it all the way through in a short amount of time (3 nights).

Really happy they liked it too. So much they almost watched it without me because they wanted to know what happened.

When Frank Darabont appeared on a Comic-Con panel July 22 to promote The Walking Dead, he didn't realize he was a dead man walking. Neither did the cast and crew. Everyone was shocked when news broke three days later that AMC had taken the extraordinary step of firing Darabont from the network's biggest ratings hit.
In hot, sticky Atlanta, where production on the second season had been under way since June, the cast was summoned to a lunch meeting with AMC vp scripted programming Ben Davis, who confirmed that Darabont was out. The crew was briefed separately. One insider says those gathered were stunned at "the duplicity of AMC" for having used Darabont to promote the show at Comic-Con before firing him. And they were angry about the lack of explanation; they were simply told, cryptically, "This isn't working." Above all, they were disheartened. "It's a crushing blow," says the insider. "Even when you have a hit, they can still destroy you."​

There also have been no public comments from the cast, and a source with knowledge of the situation says AMC has been "terrorizing" them and their representatives to discourage them from speaking out on Darabont's behalf. "They're scared," confirms another insider. "They're on a zombie show. They are all really easy to kill off."

But this source says that AMC had its own ideas about how to make the show more cheaply. The show shoots for eight days per episode, and the network suggested that half should be indoors. "Four days inside and four days out? That's not Walking Dead," says this insider. "This is not a show that takes place around the dinner table." That was just one of what this person describes as "silly notes" from AMC. Couldn't the audience hear the zombies sometimes and not see them, to save on makeup? The source says Darabont fought "a constant battle to keep the show big in scope and style."

AMC's critically acclaimed original series, "The Walking Dead," is back with its much anticipated second 13 episode season. Kicking-off a two week long Fearfest, the network, once again, presents viewers with a 90-minute premiere episode, airing at 9 PM ET on Sunday, October 16th, with six one-hour episodes in the weeks following. The final six episodes of the season commences on Sunday, February 12th at 9pm ET. The 90 minute version is also scheduled to be launched globally on all Fox International Channels, following the US premiere the week of October 17th-23rd. Season two reaches FOX audiences in 122 countries, speaking 35 languages and is seen by over 200 million households globally.

I don't know the comics, and I'll think I'll continue that to keep up the suspense. Everytime I watch this show I feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack. The herd of zombies was intense. Although there were a couple of times that I got annoyed, namely how Andrea reacted throughout the entire show (I understand her grief and all, but was less sympathetic about talking about how she didn't wanted to be eaten alive and just wanted to die right as they were about to launch a rescue party for a twelve year old girl. Yes I know it sucks GO FIND THE CHILD PLEASE), and every time they brought the son with them in the very dangerous search. Oh and also zombies can hear bullets but they can't hear very loud church bells or cars colliding with each other >___> But overall, I love this show more than should be healthy.

When the herd of zombies was walking through I was afraid to move. XD I totally thought that mom was going to blow it.

I'm not a fan of Andrea, but she did have a point when she spoke to Dale. Otherwise she just pisses me the fuck off.

omg I know right? I was like we're crashing cars, that's cool. BUT DON'T SHOOT THE ZOMBIES ABOUT TO EAT THE LITTLE GIRL CAUSE THE OTHER ZOMBIES MIGHT HEAR IT. At least with the church bell there was concern that the zombies would hear it. To be a little fair, I guess by the time they were crashing cars into each other, the zombies had moved farther down the road :/

having not read the comics, my opinion is based solely on the show. They can still redeem her character for me though. They just need to do it. Maybe I don't like the way the actress portrays her which makes me hate her. I just can't stand every time she opens her mouth.
