I will help out my team when it comes to my job, but there's a difference between 'helping' and 'being used' or 'being forced' to do something.
Boss said I was on the schedule to open, calling me to tell me this at 9 something this morning.
Lo and behold, the schedule said I was off. It was not changed; learned later via co-worker that basically, she wanted a day off.
Fine. But you're the manager. Act it. I'm not in envy of the managerial job where I work, 'cause it sucks - long hours, lots of bitching and petty picking-overs...
So yeah; next time, I'm going to say that the schedule was given to me and I have plans. I cannot come in.

Finding out that the holiday I want to book for Paris, has shot up by £70 in the space of five days (I'm on a budget for it). I'm currently waiting for my friend to get her money together so I can put it in my bank account and book the holiday online for us otherwise we can't book it at all as it's an online deal only.
I don't want to borrow any extra money from my parents because I'm already gonna have to give them my rent in 2 weeks and they're gonna have to lend me money anyways to get me through the next 2 weeks until my wages are paid in because I need to keep the money already in my account set aside for Paris and the longer I'm waiting the higher the price is gonna go

Worth the watch
Speaking as an ex GAME employee i can tell you for a fact that the fact staff are employed by a gaming franchise does not mean they have fuck all clue about gaming.
One of my old colleagues only ever played the original super mario bros and WOW so you can imagine the glazed look he gave out when people asked for any information on consoles/games of actual worth.
Also i really hate working saturdays.
The fact that I had to work from 6am in the morning (Waking up at 4am to get ready and drive.) with only about 3 hours worth of sleep, because I was up all night doing laundry and shit. Which I work in a factory, with no AC, lifting heavy car parts, with giant ass bugs all over the damn place. Then getting off at 7pm. Having to move furniture right afterwords and not getting home until 9pm. Then being asked to go to the store and get milk. Getting in bed at 10 because I'm told I need to be up and ready by 6am AGAIN.
Getting there and being told I don't have to work, and go all the way home. Waste of my time and money.
And I hate 90% of the workers there. So what if I don't want to pretend to be a girl just so your damn macho ego isn't hurt. Kiss my ass.

so after many months of asking him to take me to the DMV while I lived with him, I finally end up moving out and eventually have a friend take me. I take my permit test, get it on the first try, and am told I can come back at any time to take my driver's test and get my license.
now I need someone with a car and proof of insurance to take me to the DMV for my license test. I have called my father at least a dozen times since I got my fucking permit and he has not answered, called me back, nothing. I really need to get my license asap so that I can start working towards getting my car fdskkfls

I think a neighbour must have called the RSPCA and complained about animal neglect because when I spoke up this morning there was a card asking to call them urgently and a cat missing. Even though no one's been neglecting anyone. He's just old and stupid and wouldn't stay indoors/use the cat flap so meows at the front door. Which has been mentioned to each neighbour the dozen or so times they asked.

Also pissing me off the the fact that I flat-out TELL someone that I need something done by a certain time, for a specific and very important reason, and they can't actually stick to their own projected timetable or whatever and so they end up getting it done much later than they were supposed to. (ordered something that had to be custom-made on Ebay, and it should have been finished, shipped, and received about six days ago; instead, it was finished and SHIPPED eight days ago, and, because it's coming from China, probably won't get here for another week) Lesson learned? People are pretty unreliable. =/
But I'm not all batshit emo crzy depressed about it atm, either. Just a bit down. Perspective on things comes from the most unlikely of sources sometimes...in this case, a movie.
It's also kind of annoying that reception at work sucks, forcing me to actually get things done instead of screwing around on my phone. >;
