I'm kind of fed up with humanity right now. While we're hardly the only assholes in the animal kingdom, we may be the most destructive ones. I'm also fed up with the fact that so many people can't understand that I'm by nature a solitary person and require a few hours by myself each day in order not to snap at people. Dealing with people's bullshit takes a lot out of me and probably always will.

I suspect this is one reason I've had difficulty forming romantic relationships; most women do not seem to be interested in dating someone who by choice spends as much time alone as I do. It's almost as if people think there's something wrong with people as introverted as I am. Maybe there is, but I definitely don't want to be "fixed."

Fucking phone won't charge all of a sudden. It was making noises and woke me up and I went to see what the matter was and it's basically at the minimum battery setting now. What the fuck. What's odd is that it clearly knows it's plugged into a wall socket, because I have it set to vibrate when it's not plugged in and it makes noises when it's plugged in.

I slept less than four hours last night, because I wasn't expecting to go to work and unexpectedly got called in. You'd think I'd be able to get right back to sleep. Ugh. It's not like there's even anything interesting to do at this absurd hour.

Yup. Have not slept at all tonight. Did not get to sleep until 6:30 AM last time I DID sleep, and was forced awake by a buzzing wasp right above my head mere hours later.

Ugh, I hate nights like that. At least I actually got about five hours of sleep, so I won't be a complete zombie tomorrow. I'll probably try to go back to sleep again soon though.

I wish I could figure out why my frakking phone won't charge. I've tried about five different outlets and none of them charged it so I'm pretty sure it's the cable that's screwed up.

I'm just glad it isn't as bad as my first serious bout with insomnia. Two weeks on roughly 12 hours of sleep sprinkled here and there in 20-30 minute naps was hell.

Sucks about your phone too, and yeah it sounds like the cable to me. Got a car charger to try giving it some juice on your way in to work?

That would have sucked terribly. I've suffered from insomnia throughout several periods of my life, but I don't think I've ever had it that badly.

I think I have a charger somewhere in my car. Can't remember where though. This isn't the first time I've had trouble charging this phone so I'm hoping it is the cable. It would suck if it were the phone itself, and it's a pretty damn old phone so I'm not sure how much it would cost to get it fixed.

I have had caustic chemicals sprayed in my eyes that permanently damaged my vision out of my left eye. And lemme tell ya, that was only the second most painful experience of my life. I'd still rather do that all over again than relive that period of hardcore insomnia. Now it usually only keeps me up for one to three days at a time, and normally when I am stressing instead of just out of the blue.

OKAY SO FANDOM SHIT: on Sollux's wiki page they have a bit for relationships, Aradia being listed as Matespirit/Moirail (?) and Feferi being listed as Moirail/Matespirit(?)

this REALLY annoys me is that Feferi and Sollux are confirmed to be in a relationship earlier by a convo with Kanaya. Aradia and Sollux only have Vriska joking that Sollux is her 'boyfriend' and then when she's a robot, she hugs him. Sollux himself distinguished Aradia as his 'friend' and Feferi as his 'girlfriend' so
