Murmur - [Murmur #02] Bull of Crete [9:13]

This has quickly become one of my top three albums of the year (alongside Swans and Panopticon). It already feels like an instant classic.

Stream it here. Despite the tags, only the first song has much to do with black metal. Zeuhl is definitely the strongest influence on them these days.

Death - [The Sound of Perseverance #01] Scavenger of Human Sorrow [6:55]

If forced at gunpoint to choose a favourite Death album, this might be it. Symbolic and Human would have to be pretty high on the list too though.

Murmur doesn't sound bad at first listen.

Btw listened to Morbus Chron yet? There's some later era Death influence in it, only waaay more psychedelic. Also the vinyl of Sweven is amazing, it has a nice booklet with some really beautiful artwork in it to watch to while listening to the album.

Incredible how heavy this still is after all those years. Worship or die.

Yeah it definitely seems like a grower, but I already like it on first listen. Weird death metal usually appeals to me almost immediately, and this is definitely weird

Master of Reality is so unbelievably great. All their material from that period is, really (plus Heaven and Hell because Dio).

All in all the music is not half bad at all every song is pretty catchy.
