What games are you currently playing?

Dragon Age.

I mean, I bought it for a good bargain (comparatively) and I have absolutely no qualms about getting the game. Judging from the fact that I'm typing this up at 2.13 in the morning I'm really getting into the game.

But thinking hard about it it's really just the writing that holds it up. There's nothing incredibly engaging about it that I haven't played before (and arguably it plays a lot like Neverwinter Nights, ie. almost exactly except for the ridiculous tabletop simulation spreadsheets) and there's something off in some of the characters' proportions.

A friend also told me once that the dialogue would be superior to that from Mass Effect and that Morrigan was a sex bomb in voice and appearance, and imo he got it wrong on both counts although Claudia Black tries pretty hard ofc.

Satsu, you have awful taste in games. XD Then again, I've just become a warden, so I could be wrong. But I find Morrigan to be quite likable, and her VA is excellent. And now that I've seen her properly, I would agree tgdt she is very attractive...though her costume is kinda meh.

To be honest my first playthrough was mainly just story stuff and I was able to get through it, even overtime. I didn't fight any psychos that I didn't need to, and only saved easy to get to survivors.

Tip for the final boss:

Well actually overtime final boss that is. After you get all the stuff he asks for and are about to go into the arena, drink as many boosts as you can. Speed, Health, etc. because you are going to start the fight with no weapons or anything. However the boosts will last for a little bit in the fight and make it a lot easier.

I've been trying to beat this game on the hardest difficulty (Mentor? I think) for a while now. It's like volunteering myself for anal rape sans lube. It's taken me several hours just to get to the boss at the end of the first level who I just can't beat.

My friend gave me Mass Effect for PC last year and I only played it for a couple of hours before I was distracted by L4D and forgot about it. I think it's time to give it another shot.

Started Mass Effect. I have trouble choosing what my character's class/appearance is in WoW, so I'm sure you can imagine how damn long it took me to make my Shepard. But finally ended up with:

Kate Shepard
Spacer
War Hero
Infiltrator

Even by the end of the first cutscene I felt way more engaged than I had the first time around, because first time around I just went with generic Matthew Fox Shepard and that was a mistake.
