PixelJunk Shooter 2.
REALLY enjoying this game. The physics have been improved, and you've been slightly powered up, especially the homing missiles. There's a spin attack, and there are much more situations that involve careful flying, and also careful shooting. The new materials: cellulose, insects, acid, & acid-bubbles are really interesting, and have made the first level super enjoyable. The new enemies are all really unique so far, and the polished elements and revised designs make for a much more appealing experience.
My main frustration thus far have been the Hungry Suit, because it feels incredibly restrictive. I understand that it makes an interesting puzzle element that's a little bit like Dig Dug, but overall I haven't really enjoyed those parts. It's mostly a "turned too soon / too late" and now the guy's dead or I got smashed. Restart. That, and the beginning half of the first boss fight against the Colonizer was
incredibly annyoing, and resulted in sudden death without warning multiple times. Even once I figured out the boss's patten, it was just a clusterfuck of waiting for a shield, and then non-stop firing homing missiles. The second half was quite a bit better, however, and involved some careful maneuvering, and close calls, strongly motivated by me not wanting to replay the first part.
As of last night, I'd just finished the first zone, and played the first level of the second zone. Only missing 2 crystals from the first area. Really liking the second area so far, (revised version of the final area from PJS1). Have yet to try the online mode.
