I have no idea how to categorise this idea but as a fever dream. Anyway, I've had a wicked idea for a BlazBlue fanfic, it just remains to be seen if I have the guts and ability to go into such potentially dark material and pull it off.

Opens with Cloud fighting Terumi. Cloud knocks one of the ruined buildings of Midgar on top of Terumi, ending fight. Cloud shortly afterwards has typical "misunderstanding" fight with Ragna, while other FFVII heroes have similar confrontations with BB characters.
When they stop fighting (but are still sneery at each other), Terumi is brought up by the BB crowd. Cloud cooly says he beat him, while Yuffie jeers them. Cloud says Terumi's under a ton of rubble.
"A ton?" Rachel asks. "Imperial or metric? Hmph. No matter. Two tons. Three. It would take much more than that to stop that man..."
Relius is scrounging around the rubble where Terumi's buried. As he orders Ignis to dig Terumi out, the rubble flies outwards. Terumi steps out happily, complaining he was having fun being dead. Relius corrects him, saying he was having fun playing dead. Terumi chuckles.
"You know me oh so well, Relius, old boy. How come we haven't tried to kill each other yet?"
Limited banter. Relius brings up the small matter of the building being dropped on Terumi. Terumi grins.
"Well, that was a good warm up fight."

Septimus being the name of a certain retired general who leaked a certain diplomat's secrets, then blamed it on the consort who did not reciprocate his feelings.
And I bought a ME novel =D unfortunately it takes place after ME2, so I can't read it yet.
In short, ME made my day. Twice. Again.
