Also, talking about how ridiculous my boss is with the colleague who drove me home when I was ill yesterday. I mentioned how I was told recently to use my initiative more, with our boss using an example where using my initiative meant "STFU and do as I say".

My colleague looks shocked and said "but that's the exact opposite of using your initiative!"
