I'm pretty sure no one has seen this, but Kazuki Takahashi's Studio Dice website is up, and has some really cool artwork and images on there. As Horoko over at janime explained:

Many manga-ka form studios when working with Jump due to tax related issues. (Lucky Land Communications, Studio Bird, etc, etc.)

And, just recently, Takahashi opened his Studio Dice homepage

You can check out the site here. It's pretty interesting. Especially the gallery.

If anyone knows how to rip flash files from a website, specifically the gallery images, you'll be my bestest friend forever. I'm trying to figure it out but I can't. T_T

There's no raw, rip, cam rip or anything. No one can sub the movie because no one actually *has* the movie. And the movie's theatrical run has finished.

There's no word on a DVD release because apparently, inside sources have stated that its being held back until the 4kids version of the movie is released overseas.

Oh, so that's what you mean by that earlier.

Why would they do that? Since when do Japanese distributors care? Is it really just because of fansubs?

Well Japanese distributors do care, because they get a cut of the royalties and licensing in regards to how well 4kids sells their cut of the same movie. And I wouldn't say its just fansubbers, I think its also the fact that they know that no one would really buy 4kids's version because of how crappy it is. They don't have a lot of market confidence right now.

All we can do is wait.

In the one group shop, who's the blond Bakura is talking to? And OMG, Yami Marik carassing Marik, Kazuki has been reading the yaoi fics too much. But then, mm-MM of DMG, as always.

That's Shizuka, Jounouchi's sister. He seems to be trying to show her something cool about his Millennium Ring.

I could've sworn that most of the gallery images seen here have already been used for the cover art for the manga reprints? XD Except for the first 2, but I actually downloaded the art of Yugi, Judai and Yusei as wallpaper from VJump...

Man, what I want are the images from the sketchbook blog...XD
Edit: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF TAKAHASHI'S ART OF YUUSEI VS JACK SO EPIC DO WANT LIEK NOW

What's..so epic?

He just beat a netdecker. The real duel against the legend is actually epic.

Seeing the old monsters in action. Listening to Marc Thompson imitate Dan Green's LARGE HAM. Watching Jaden take a Dark Magic attack to the face.

Dimitri ruled that duel, Jaden only turned it around on the last few turns with Flame Wingman...story of most of his opponents, actually.

Yeah I haven't seen very many GX episodes, but every time I have Judai/Jaden uses the exact same cards every time. And almost in the same order, what's with that?
It started getting ridiculous in the latter seasons of DM that Yugi had Berfomet and Gazelle in his starting hand EVERY game, but GX takes it to a new level.

It was terrible. It was as if whatever good that was in Dan Green was sucked out and replaced by bacon grease. :monster:

Dimitri is a cockbag who exemplifies duelists who can't come up with anything on their own, and just copy what they think wins, due to their own lack of skill. Of course he'd lose, cause in the end he doesn't know what the heck he's doing. Serves him right getting his ass owned repeatedly. Judai owning him actually is pretty fair.

And then we got 5Ds, where I swear Yusei begins almost every Season 1 duel with Speed Warrior.

And yeah, Jaden's cards are entirely predictable. Like when he uses Card Trooper, you KNOW he will be discarding a card that activates in the Graveyard. Odds are it'll be Hero Necroshade or Necro Gardna.

Yeah, it does get sadly predictable. I don't know who writes the duels but sometimes you have to wonder what it is they're thinking.

Perhaps they think predictability and consistency is better off than constantly having Yusei or Judai start a duel with something new each time, making it appear as if they're pulling cards out of their ass.

Instead, it just makes it look like they're stacking the cards :monster:

Of course he'd lose, cause in the end he doesn't know what the heck he's doing.

Except he does, sorta. Monster Reincarnation to dump Dark Magician, Swords to protect Gazelle, then Dark Renewal. Spider Web to snatch Emergency Provisions, set two cards, Reincarnation and chain Provisions to sacrifice it, bring back Kuriboh to protect himself from attack in case Jaden kills the Kuriboh tokens, which he does. Dimitri played a pretty good game, actually. Agreed, he's lame for netdecking, but he did it well.

Ironic you mention stacking the cards, because if you watch the hands carefully and keep a mentally tally of the cards played, that's exactly what happens. Like Dimitri up there:

First turn, Gazelle, Berfomet, Poly, three cards left in hand. Second turn draw (four cards), play Swords, Dark Renewal, Reincarnation, DM. From turn three and on Dimitri is completely topdecking, and yet...yeah. Seriously, rewatch the GX duels and keep track of the number of cards played, and where they come from. Almost every duel sees Jaden topdecking with no hand and pulling out say, Fifth Hope, Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, etc, etc. And let's not forget the Ceremonial Battle...

Well he's not entirely dumb, of course. But in the end, he doesn't have the actual experience, nor the "bond" that actually allows him to be in tune with his deck thus, play it properly and realize its full potential. He researches it, but he doesn't actually have a piece of himself in it.

Oh yeah, definitely. But to be honest, topdecking is pretty common in the anime. Even in the original series, how many times have Kaiba, Yugi, and Jou had no cards in hand, and then suddenly ripped a Card of Demise, Cards of Sanctity, or a Gamble, thus turning the duel around and allowing it to go on even further? :monster:

Here's a play-by-play of Yubel's duel with Jaden. The cards in Jaden's hand, what he plays, to show how stacked the deck really is.

First turn - Poly, Avian, Burstinatrix, De-Fusion. (2 cards in hand.)
Second turn - Spark Blaster, Spark man. (1 card in hand.)
Third turn - sets a card, (1 in hand)
4th - Neo-Space Wave, NEX. Now has Glow Moss, uses effect draws a card, plays it to draw 3 cards. Sets a card (2 in hand)
5th - Card Ejector, with GM draws a card, sets a card (1 card in hand)
6th - With GM draws a card (3 cards in hand)
7th - Fake Hero, Neos, Poly. With Rainbow Neos draws and plays Rainbow Veil, sets a card (empty hand)
8th - Draws Fifth Hope, draws two cards, summons Clayman (1 hand)
9th - Neos, sets a card (empty hand)

See kiddies, this is what happens to duelists like Zane, Aster, Jaden...they overextend and fuse and waste their hand because their decks are stacked so they always have some way to draw.

To be honest, that's the pitfall of any real fusion based deck, sadly. It burns through the hand like a gasoline soaked candle wick.

Besides, would it really be interesting just seeing them topdeck and wait four turns to find an answer, cause they have no hand to play? :monster:

I'm sure the duels wouldn't be nearly as exciting.

ROTFL

Yusei's cool and all, but he's a victim of bad writing and shit just like everyone else. As a character Yusei's awesome. But he's also a screenhogging whore. :awesome:
