I wonder if SE ever did make a canon yaoi or yuri couple if the fans would bite. You know, it might backfire and they'll start shipping both of them straight because it's not about canon, but about making stuff up.

That's what this club is for already.

If ya'll were really interested in teh cannon, you'd be shipping Cloud/~~Sephiroth~~ Mukki.

I think the worst off are those twins from Harry Potter films, having being told people write 'twincest' of them.

Maybe it's strange and exotic if you don't have a twin (or just like putting any two characters with a penis together), but I do and that's getting too creepy for me. I get it, it's a fantasy and all, but for me it's akin to shipping Harry Potter/that owl he has.

lovely fanart! and I agree I am also not a fan of that kind of shipping.. but I can understand yaoi or yuri specially in series like Gundam Wing where is full of cute guys.

The Brangelina thing I thought was a joke (sorry, I think it was me who brought it up:, though, this picture of Guillaume Canet and Marion Cotillard reminds me of CloTi alot (minus Guillaume's really bad hair in the picture

it really reminds me too! I love Marion! I hope to see more movies of her,I don't like Guillaume that much. Of the french actors I prefer Gaspard Uliell.

It's a nice 'action shot' of Cloud and Tifa. To me, it looks like Tifa's turning her head, seeing who's following them, if anyone. *thumbsup*

But they already DID make a cononical lesbian couple (Yaoi and Yuri are generally fanon by default, as they actually imply explicit sex in the story, and that usually doesn't occur outside porn. The non explicit terms are shonen and shojo-ai.), in the form of Tidus and Yuna.

You know, though, if Cloud's a woman, that means that Clephiroth and Clukki are het pairings while CloTi and Clerith are not? Whoa... That puts a whole new spin on things. XD

Thank you. So if you shipped a same sex couple, but were, lets say shipping them as just in love and dating, and no actual sex was involved (yet), would that mean it wasn't technically yaoi or yuri?

It would be a shoujo or shonen-ai thing, then, yes. Even if they were at the sex stage, and nothing got shown, like how implied sex is not porn.

That's not White Kitten. It's his sister White Kitten. White Kitten, being the Shinentai of Cloud, would have Soul of Siegfried, if not his custom Soul of Seven (Swords 1-6 and Fenrir) style, which he uses to protect Tifa if Cloud is unable.

Seriously, the 'White Kitten is Cloud's subconscious' meme is glorious.

So, Tenny, they don't seem to like us over at GenAward. Seems 'there is an official answer and the declarations by the creators are in fact valid' rubs people the wrong way.

Yeah I'm kind of pissed at some of the peeps on GA. But thanks for posting there. I was beginning to feel alone. The people who DO have the common sense to believe the creator comments all ditched out of that thread. Probably one of the wiser decisions a person could make.

That's no problem! I have a ton of Cloti doujinshi's and fanart

I've been collecting since forever. And in fact, I'm making a Cloti doujinshi write now; here's the first draft:

Unfortunately, it was my first time using Photoshop, so it came out really badly, which is why I'll just be outlining and drawing the rest of my doujinshi.

**This one is basically Zack trying to flirt with Tifa. The last strip has Cloud holding up a sword to Zack's neck.

**Cloud asks Tifa to close her eyes. She does. Cloud kisses Tifa.

**Cloud and Tifa are about to fight Sephiroth, but then they start saying their last goodbyes (for a really, really long time) and are smitten to the point that Sephiroth is waiting for them to finish.

**Cloud getting ideas after looking at her... assets.

**Cloud walks into the bathroom, where Tifa is with only a towel. He looks away for a moment, but seconds later, he yells out 'SURPRISE!' as though he is about to glomp (def. attack hug) her. She immediately kicks him out of the bathroom, leaving our poor Cloud on the floot, his bottom most likely bruised.
