Well, that photograhed page from the book definitely speaks of Tidus's head being blown off and landing in front of Yuna before she passes out, so consider that confirmed.

I was gonna eventually turn the other thread into a translation thread once the book arrives. Oh well. I would like this site to become the go to place for these novel translations.

Considering I enjoyed the audio drama (and the maturity of it, I found that refreshing as opposed to off-putting), my curiosity about this is killing me. Especially since it seems like possibly the worst storyline by SE ever. EVER.

Despite my feelings for Tidus (hate), I actually think Tidus/Yuna was quite beautiful. But I agree with Tennyo, I thought Tidus coming back was just blah. It made me feel like the ending of FFX was that less powerful.

I suppose that's why I don't particularly care about the "SE has now ruined FFX" when I felt bringing back Tidus was tacky to begin with.

That's just it. The ending of FFX was gorgeous. Then the "perfect ending" of FFX-2 happened and now it's just all like...

It was still gorgeous. I mean, Tidus still died, Yuna still had to be without him for two years, and she only got him back after moving on with her life. X-2's ending really doesn't tread on much.

It kind of does. Because if it was really that easy to bring Tidus back, then why make all the fuss about him fading away in the first place?

Well, it wasn't that easy. The fayth were the only ones who could do it (as far as we know), and they weren't even sure if they would be able to.

And, of course, in order to do it, they had to end their slumber.

X-2 didn't ruin X's ending because Tidus was shown to come back at the end of X.

"But it was left ambiguous etc etc" except some of the Fayth dropped hints that this might be a thing, Auron saying "this is your world now" etc.

Of course you could choose not to connect the dots but Tidus' return was there all along imo.

Anyway, I kind of find this all a moot point. The story of X-2 isn't the best, we all agree on that. But it is what it is. But still, seriously, a blitzbomb? Come on guys, I can't be the only person here to whine about this.

There is a basic translation in one of the posts somewhere. The scan/page/translation was for the so called Yuna/Tidus ecchi/sex stuf that people elsewhere were getting upset about before (people were mixing up the death/sex and/or thinking Yuna/Tidus had hardcore/explicit sex or something)

Personally I never really considered the perfect ending as canon. When I first finished X-2 I got the normal ending, the first CG scene before the good ending shows up (Tidus reuniting with Yuna) only. So that's what I considered as canon all this time.
