I thought about Ravus as well, although it wouldn't make sense in terms of the story because we see his little 'redemption' arc later on. I was thinking more like Weskham would be a good choice. I wish it could be Luna somehow, but that's wishful thinking.

Still expect we'll see Ravus in there somewhere, even if not up close. There must be some reason he
didn't intervene when Ardyn stabbed Luna. I expect he was either wounded or unconscious -- and if the last thing Ignis saw was Ardyn heading for Luna, then this would be a good place to go into that.

Wasn't Ravus supposed to be commanding the forces in Altissia?
On one of the radio broadcasts they said that he was going to be executed for his failures in commanding the military forces there, and for not subduing Leviathan.

Yes, but
why would he be hurt somehow? As High Commander,
he would not be on the front lines. He was probably helping Luna and Noctis as best he could by giving messed up orders, or taking too long to maneuver troops in. I don't think he would have actually fought on the ground.

Probably not, but I also can't imagine he
would have just stayed up on one of the airships while Luna was in immediate danger. I'd expect him to have been making a beeline for her from at least the moment she awakened Noct's King of Light form. Given that lasted a few minutes, something had to be in his way.

I can't picture anything less from the character myself.

So I finally sat down and watched Episode Prompto trailer. It looks like something.

I mean that in the nicest way possible - Episode Gladiolus was a huge let down. It was a two hour long dungeon. Some neat mechanics but mostly a huge let down. I got more enjoyment out of the 20 minute Chapter 13, verse 2 add-on.

Episode Prompto, even if it's on rails, promises some exploration outdoors, a much more in-depth story element and some shooter elements to boot. It looks like something. Please don't suck. That said I'll probably be more invested in Stormblood than that and won't be playing it at launch. Lemme know how it turns out.

I know this is totally random and that given KH3 trailer came out last week showing off more of Olympus to celebrate the 20th Anniversary, but it just occured to me that Episode Prompto releases on the exact same day as the Disney version of Hercules was released in Theatres 20 years ago, because the 20th anniversary of the film is on Tuesday next week exactly from now.

I thought Episode Gladio was enjoyable enough, but then I didn't really have any expectations for it. Prompto's does appear to be more substantive though, I'd be surprised if it was much longer, though.

I remember seeing that right after E3... I wonder what they possibly have left to announce that isn't on the docket already... Some more story/DLC content maybe? I won't get my hopes up.

Currently crawling through the bottom of Steyliff Dungeon right now... I think I've been in here for like 5 hours already... Nevermind that I've been in here since Wednesday night, having to put the PS4 on rest mode because I didn't want to keep staying up late... This dungeon is hellish.

EDIT:

Methinks they will probably show something from the Episode Ignis DLC.

Oh and apparently Monster of the Deep isn't the only VR thing they're working on for XV. Lawd gimme strength...

I didn't even realise on my first playthrough that you weren't
chasing Ardyn on the train, but Prompto with Ardyn's appearance. I just thought Ardyn was mocking him. There's a theory on Reddit that they swapped places when Noctis awoke again, and that the Prompto that helps defend the train is actually Ardyn with his appearance.

My 10-year-old brother played this for the first time today and he did better in the earlier parts than even I did. He's convinced it's amazing and might be buying it. :awesome:
